There are plenty of comparable or worse team histories in college sports. You already know that, so either the Terps stomped your team somewhere along the way or you're just looking for a reaction. I didn't go to Maryland and don't follow or care much about the program, but this is basically a Terps boosters thread. If you're going to criticize the program, take a more balanced approach, or take it to some other board.
My school never really played MD nor do I care much for college sports, so not sure why a Mod would feel the need to add in a snide comment like "they must have stomped your school". Maybe I just feel that an institution, especially one chalk full of impressionable young minds, should have some standards with respect to code of conduct and values. You said plenty of schools are comparable, name 1 where a player OD'd and unfortunately died, one who kidnapped kids, one who broke into cars to steal $ for his drug habits, and most of whom are the big name MD guys, not the run of the mill bench warmers. Not a stretch to say this type of behavior does not start after college all of a sudden into adult life, so it was behavior that very likely occurred while they were playing at MD that the school turned a blind eye to it so they could win more games.
