Beal is a great contract, Otto’s OK. Unless we think Otto an injury risk, not smart to trade. We will not get back anything near Beal or Otto worth.
That’s why you fire the coach and GM, you can’t trade the players. The new front office can evaluate whether to resign Kelly and Sato. And to stretch Ian or not.
Wizards could find a trade partner for Wall if they wanted to.
There are always going to be capped out teams (or teams in undesirable locations) who have no other way of acquiring an All-Star player. Same thing we saw with the Blake Griffin to Detroit trade . LAC got a good haul of assets for Griffin.
But my primary concern is the front office. If Grunfeld isn’t gone then nothing else matters. Once a new GM is brought in, we can see what their vision is and the direction they want to go with the roster.
