MEM gets a buzzer beater. Ball hit every part of the rim and dropped.

A Bub, AJ, Harper lineup interests me. Assuming they all keep on improving that's a core group of players that could each evolved into 3 level scorers + good ball handling and playmaking. We'll see where this draft lottery spits us out.

Queen is the best pick for this team.

I do fantasize about the 23 year old versions of Alex and Derik playing together in our front court, perhaps they both will become good rebounders, but DQ to Washington ain't happening, if we drop to 5, you have to seriously consider Maluach there.
I prefer that DQ goes to San Antonio at #9.

Next to Wemby, no one will obsess over whether he's lackadaisical on defense. His eFG% will be around 70%. They'll win championships.

If God lets me keep living, i will mention Queen again.

They really have not had forwards on the court much
unless you count swing player champagnie. Sarr and 4 Gs. No KG and I guess he's a fwd that swings to G
if they want to.

That's true but I don't put much stock into what we're doing right now. We are trying to tank.

Yeah especially with the way Bub is playing the past couple games. I think they could really compliment each other and be good together, all 3 can handle the point and have the size/length to defend the 2. A starting backcourt of Bub & Dylan with AJ off the bench as the 3rd G could work really well.

But... this doesn't affect us.

They are tanking hard. Rest assured they do not want to give up that pick
to cap off what has been a terrible season for them. We play them one more time.
They are the only team left we're likely to win against. So one could say it does affect us.

Memphis wins again, could finish the regular season anywhere from 3rd to 8th but most likely 6-8. Currently seeds are:
5. GSW 46-31 play Hou Phx SAS Por LAC
6. Memphis 46-32 goes Cha Min Den Dal,
7. Minnesota 46-32 play Mil Mem Nets Utah
8. LAC 45-32 playing Dal tonight then SAS Hou Sac GSW

If Memphis wants to stay out of the play in they’ll have to beat Minnesota April 10. The play in scares me RE our pick, I’m rooting for the 6th seed for them.

Not making any predictions but I wonder if Flagg's
failure to hit the GW shot would change his decision,
assuming he's made one, to leave or stay.

I had been unaware that Flagg should be a senior in
HS this year.

He might tbh. He's making a ton of money.

Clippers won making them Mem and Min all tied at 46-32. Tiebreakers now put them
6. Min
7.LAC
8. Mem

I do not want Malauch and can't imagine pairing him with Sarr, as both don't rebound well.

6 WC team have either 46 or 47 wins. Without
looking at schedules or tiebreakers, that's a lot
of uncertainty.

??? Maluach is a pretty strong rebounder -- especially on the offensive end where he's absolutely great.

I could actually see him going back for another year now after that.

It would be unprecedented, in the modern one-and-done era, at least.

He is the guaranteed #1 overall pick. If he stayed in school, he could have a bad year, and maybe fall a bit lower in the 2026 draft. Or he could have a career-ending injury and miss out on the $60M rookie contract. He'd also be delaying the signing of his second contract, which is likely to be a max or supermax deal. Ultimately, he'll probably cost himself one extra year of NBA salary in his career, and that would be a peak year of salary where he'd making something like $90M.

And it's not like Flagg had a disappointing performance in the game. Yeah, he missed the final shot, but he was terrific most of the game. He doesn't really have to go back and prove anything to anyone.
