Ridnour for Maynor and Singleton?

As a Bucks fan, I'm intrigued by Singleton and maybe a change of scenery is just what he needs? As for Maynor, he's tight with Larry Sanders so maybe that will help Larry on and off the court?

Luke is a good guy, a very solid back up and could help a team that needs another guard for a playoff run.

I'll talk to Hambone, you talk to Ernie, let's make it happen!

Just curious what you guys think of Singleton? I know he hasn't played much, but has everyone given up on him?

His upside is probably anthony tolliver with a bit more athleticism. He probably got developed wrong by our coaching staff to be honest. He was a decent 3 pt shooter for a rookie, and then it went ALL down hill from there after since they told him to shoot more 2s (morons). That and I think his added weight puts him in-between positions.

Thanks for the info, and good luck the rest of this season. I had a chance to watch the Wiz vs. Rockets last week and I must say Wall and Beal together is fun to watch, you guys are starting to build a pretty nice squad.

When I ran Singleton through my statistical doppelganger machine at my old blog during the 2013 offseason, here are the guys who showed up as most similar:

- Viktor Khryapa
- Donald Hodge
- Hanno Mottola
- Michael Doleac
- Loren Meyer
- DeMarre Carroll
- Joe Wolf
- Linton Johnson
- Brian Scalabrine

Not much hope there.

His comps for this season are a little better, but on such a small sample size (149 minutes) that it's impossible to know whether he's improved or if it's just small sample fluke stuff. At any rate, here are the similars for this season:

- Jud Buechler
- Omri Casspi
- Carlos Delfino
- Stephen Graham
- Devin Brown
- Eric Piatkowski
- Ronnie Price
- Jeff Judkins
- Rodney Carney

Seems kind of an indictment that a PF type should have SGs and a PG show up as that similar. First PF to show up is Scott Padgett.

And remember: Grunfeld picked this guy over Kenneth Faried.

As long as Jordan Hill is on the market, any interest in Ariza for Hill and Blake? Salaries match up almost exactly, and everyone is expiring. I was surprised at Hill's numbers, albeit in limited minutes. Clearly a downgrade at SF, but better Nene insurance than Booker, and a chance to kick the tires on Hill.

If we trade expirings for expirings, who cares what we do -- whether it Jameer Nelson (not expiring, but unguaranteed for next year) or Miller (ditto) or Beno or... whatever. It's not going to make any difference at all.

I yearn to read an announcement that Ernie has decided to "retire." What a crap team he has built out of the most amazing set of assets in the last few years! Hard to imagine having done worse.

LOL at David Aldridge trying to help Ernie.

Someone tweet DA and tell him to let Ernie sink on his own. DA is that kid in class trying to whisper answers to the dumb slow kid when the teacher asks him a question.

So Shumpert has trade-value for real assets. Funny, no-one appears to be clamoring for Singleton who was drafted before.

Ariza/Maynor/Singleton for Tayshaun/Davis/Calathes. We save a few hunder K this year and get our backup PG and 3rd big. But we have to pay Prince a lot next year.

I'm sure he will be defensive player of the year once he gets out of Washington.

That's the way we roll.

Average GM. Crappy Head Coach. So we really have no idea how good he could be. Hasn't gotten regular minutes since he rookie season. My guess, he has put in enough work that if he actually played, he would have some good games. He has done that in the past.

It would be best for him to get out of DC and see what he can do else where.

Rooting for the tank tonight

"Washington Wizards are interested in trading for Orlando's Jameer Nelson. Magic looking for a second-round pick, according to a source."

Throw in a couple expiring worthless deals, and if we're super lucky, Maynor, and you can sign me up!!!

Of the 15 guys taken after Singleton, only 1 (taken 14 picks later) was a bigger bust -- Justin Harper. Of the next 10 after Harper, 5 of them are rotation players. Hell, there are a handful of players among the last 10 picks that year who eclipse Singleton in what they've accomplished in the league.

That said, I might keep him over Vesely -- think of what that implies about Vesely!!

People are ripping the Singleton choice and admttedly he's been a flop in the NBA but . . . . unlike the Vesely choice which before the draft this board was begging the front office to avoid, Singleton was decently rated here and generally viewed as a good choice at the time . . . . like Dom McGuire to Vesely's Nick Young. As weak as that draft was, Chris was the equivalent of a mid to early second rounder in most drafts.

A trade with the Grizzlies could go a variety of ways. For one, I would want no part in Prince or Tony Allen.

If they trade Ariza, I'd probably want Davis and Koufos in return.
