Who's watching? USA vs Russia is a real battle so-far, 25-25.

USA pulling away late in the 3rd. Westbrook with the slam off the USA steal and fastbreak.

Yeah it looks like Russia really fell apart in the 3rd quarter. Go USA :)

WOW, Lithuania has hit 7-7 3-pointers and Argentina has hit zero 0-9.

Man...what the hell is wrong with Argentina, they are completely getting shut down and they can't stop anybody, it's very disappointing I was hoping for a close & competitive game, so much for that.

I think it's fair to say that it's a coin toss between Lebron, Kobe, and KD as to who the best perimeter player in the world is (a 3 sided coin?). And he's easily the most likable of the 3.

Anybody watch the Turkey vs Serbia battle? What a finish, down to the last half-second.

Absolutely! That was one hell of a game, no team led by more than 8 points. I'm just disappointed Serbia had a brainfart in the remaining seconds on defense, I mean...a lay up to put the dagger through the heart and send em home. I personally don't see the Turkey U.S. game being very competitive but we shall see tomorrow.

With the Turks playing in-front of their fellow countrymen, you have to think that they are going to "want it more, but will it be enough? We need to knock them out early.

Commented in the official game thread about Odom at C being a great move by Coach K.

The same way, Flip Saunders can use Yi at C, particularly late in games against plodding Cs.

Congratulations to the U.S. for a well deserved victory. Overall, the game was just boring and it was all about U.S. coasting after halftime.

Durant deserved the gold, the US coasted off-of Durant's performance. It would have been much more difficult to get the gold w/o Kevin Durant.

I'm sure we can all agree on that one.

Yes, but wouldn't every team have a harder time going for the gold if you took away their best player?
