Crawford is a hard guy to figure out. If he got 35 minutes a game ...he would be a 20-4-5 guy but everyone hates him

mhd, how is 9 points, 12 rebounds, 4 blocks very poor?

He was getting abused on the low block. He can't hold his position. Its been 4 years and he's still a horrid man defender. If Cleveland (who isn't exactly lighting the world on fire with big men) bullies him, what will good teams do? He had his usual multiple WTF moments in the game too. Vessley may be a bust for his draft position, but he NEVER has WTF's because he knows his limitations.

WTF are they thinking? I'm sure the players are embarrassed. This is the kind of second rate crap that I was hoping Ted would end.

Crawford had 31 points, 0 of them from the FT line. That's just not sustainable. Don't fall for it.

Bias. Still had a few WTFs but it wasn't like he was terrible.

His stats aren't quite indicative of his true impact but we are too hard on him.

Everybody and his brother knows by this point McGee is pretty much clueless.

I'm not arguing that he's a tease and a dumb dude who's going to keep being this player.

I really do feel bittersweet/mixed emotions about McGee. Much as I want to like him, even I wish he were on another team and the Wizards had a solid player at C. Roy Hibbert wouldn't keep emotions going like a yo yo with up and down performances.

Nope, he wouldn't quite be that if he was given 40 minutes a game (his per 40 production is 21.0/4.0/4.8 and the 21 points isn't really a point in his favor because he's still doing it on a sub-50 TS% and his defense is still, though this is entirely my opinion, the worst on the team. He's shot better lately (a whopping 43%) and has had his moments from three (in February he managed a merely bad 32.8%) so I can only hope he's on his way to being a viable source of offense but it remains the case that if Crawford were to use the possessions and receive the time necessary to score twenty points a game it would be bad for the team.

This.

Let's say he had 3 or 4 WTFs this game--which he did. STILL, Javale's rebounds are ones nobody else is grabbing and his blocks the same. Also, this game Javale had a couple really nice assists, one in particular to Crawford when Jordan really had it going.

Javale's WTFs are on his holding the ball too long, dribbling too much, and as mhd says not knowing his limitations. Aggravating stuff, but I haven't lost sight of his good plays.

GG.

I've watched a lot of Wizards of late and I'm sure you guys will be a decent team in a couple years. If you build right around Wall and get rid of the knuckleheads then you will be back in no time and Wizards-Cavs might be a rivalry again.

It's a shame Crawford don't have anything else than his jump shot. One night he goes 13-22 the other 3-12. At least Grunfeld has something to work with and I like how Wittman deals with "stuff". I hope you guys win a couple games so you pass us (Cavs), another good pick for us could be huge and we might be back in the playoffs already next year.

Just finished watching... WTF IS UP WITH THE CONFETTI?? Has this franchise really sunk this low?!

Anyway, very entertaining game and good for the Wizards being rewarded with a W for their effort.

Concerning McGee, lot's of underserved hate for him tonight. I'll take that sort of effort every night. He's still a major concern defending the PNR, but I thought he did a good job doing the things that help winning basketball games.

He still has to learn to establish a better base on offense. When Wall found him open in the lane all it took for him to convert an easy dunk was to establish position coming out of the spin move. Instead he gets startled by the defender moving in front from the weakside and throws up a weak shot that results in a break and 3 points for the Cavs.

That was a 5 point swing, that got the Cavs back in the game.

I think it was fun. I have no idea why they did it though. If it was for breaking a losing streak then it was ridiculous.

Dude is fool's gold, but he is having a hot streak the past 3-4 weeks.

I couldn't stand Flip Saunders' coaching.

I don't agree with some of Wittman's calls but the dude has balls and he speaks his mind. Witt definitely handles things. I will give him that. He's a coach who will make a radical decision and bench a guy when the effort isn't there.

I'm thinking whatever Andray Blatche's best is, Wittman will get it. Not like when Flip was coach and AB just played big minutes, regardless of how bad or selfish.

I love Wall's game, but the fastest player in NBA HISTORY????? What? It's debatable that he's even the fastest guy out of current NBA players (Rose, Lawson, Barbosa, and pre-injury TJ Ford come to mind). Chill. LOL.

rose does not have the pure end to end speed wall has. barbosa in his prime is the only one of the names you listed comparable to wall.
