Me-too, every team knows that we are desperate to unload Blatche and are probably looking-past MKG and TRob.

This seems to go against Ted's philosophy of building through the draft. Giving up a top 5 pick in a relatively decent draft year to unload a bloated waste of on-the-court humanity does not equal building through the draft. I think its a pipe dream that the Wizards can unload him prior to the draft without using a pick, but I'm not ready to concede that the Wizards would be content in ditching our draft pick to do this.

The last 35, save for 6 or 7 seasons, have tilted the balance towards crappy, Halcyon. Having been conditioned by the worst of times, I can still say EG has done better under Ted. I was vehemently against the Nene deal, but in the short run it looks real good.

Maybe Ernie won't screw things up.

Maybe something pretty good will go down.

Yes, odds are we are in for long-term mediocrity, at best. But who cares?

I will at least HOPE for the best.

Yep, this is why I'm so nervous and my stomach has been in knots all day. Anthony Davis could change the fate of like 3 or 4 teams, Wizards Nets, Bobcats not so much b/c I think they will be terrible even with him there.
Bickerstaff: who's up for kickball?!!
Ed Wood: Only if it's the no-pants variety.

So let's see

2001
one 2 and one 1 -> 1st pick

2010
one 2 and one 1 -> 1st pick

2011 -> two ones and really bad luck.
This year is two twos year.
How can we interpret this?
Free fall or all the way to Monobrow?

I get what you are saying.

The 1st pick would be great. The next best thing would be to get the 4th pick but with Beal still on the board. I'm pretty confident that he'll last until #4 because GMs always fall in love with size sooner or later. After the measurements and workouts, either Drummond or Robinson is going to solidify themselves as the 2nd pick.

I'll be having a few brews tonight if we land the #1. I just have a feeling Brooklyn is going to land it.

I'm genuinely feeling #1. I don't think I've ever come into a draft feeling #1. It kind of bugs me, honestly.

Though really, anything but #5, and I'm satisfied.

Ted also proclaimed Blatche, Crawford & Young? Our next Big Three, things change.

I came into the 2010 lottery thinking we would get #1, and walla. Last year, I didn't really have a good feeling about it, and we dropped. This year, I have a feeling we'll drop the 4th, but I hope I'm wrong.

Please God!

I feel certain of a top 3. Not sure of anything else tho. In 2010 I felt strongly the day of that we'd land #1. In 2011, I felt we'd get the shaft.

Cats will get the #1. They never have before. They will pick Davis. In four years, he will be developed and leave. We can get him then if we need him.

Yeah, I feel a 3rd coming on. Maybe a 2nd.

Ran the simulator 10 times, as is tradition:

2nd (MKG)
3rd (Beal)
4th (Beal)
5th (Drummond)
1st (Davis)
4th (Robinson)
1st (Davis)
2nd (MKG)
3rd (Beal)
2nd (MKG)

Only got 4th or 5th 3/10 times, not too shabby.

We will get 3rd is what I think.

I believe Sacramento will win it. If they don't I could see a team with no business winning it, like Portland.

Return to Washington Wizards
