Why?

I spoke too soon. I like the way the Wiz closed out and our defense was solid.. But we are still a team that relies too heavily on streaky shooting to keep us in it.

I wont say that is a deinite yet with Nene back in the starting group. You cant go all the way by this game because teh Bulls are always an elite defensive team. Even if we do depend on streaky shooting, I think it can be streaky good more than streaky bad just with Nene being back in the lineup

Nene averages 28.7 mpg

Tonight 36

But they have a day off...

Bench was still 28, 6 and 3 so not too bad.

Why can't KS get some playing time after the previous game?

Didn't catch the game but was there any reason as to why Porter didn't play tonight? Also surprised Seraphin didn't play after what he did in that Rockets game

^Wittman is in save his a$$ mode and tightened the rotation. Seemed to work tonight so can't complain but let's see how long this lasts with Nene and Beal's injury issues....

not so surprised by Porter. Witt's been cutting into his minutes.

Porter's not ready. He's got to get stronger and build his base up.

This was about setting a standard. But they can't keep this up. They have to play some Kevin and/or Ves.

But Chicago is currently their head to head playoff competition. Getting the win was important. Specially to end the losing streak.

They just really needed this game. Now they can lose to MIA and be ok going back against CHI at home who they just lead end to end in a win.

Actually a pretty smart move by Randy to play it safe.

if they are 17-20 after MIA, then they have CHI at home, DET, PHI, BOS. If things go their way, they could get over .500 before a tough stretch of games. But they can't keep this rotation. Nene will be done in 4 games. He has to figure out a rotation with Kevin and or Ves in the rotation.

A move needs to be made. They have their top 8, get that 9th guy and everything else should fall into place. They can't continue like this, no way. You don't think Leandro Barbosa would be good right now? Dude scored 21 points tonight. Why didn't we make THAT move?

Thought they made it tougher on themself than need be.. Gave up 20+ on missed FT and layups or could of been a breezy 30 point win and could of rested some guys.. But when do any DC teams make it easy??

How does Wall usually do on National tv games? Cause he didn't look that good at all tonight? I counted 2 points off driving and the rest long jumpers? (I don't mind the jumpers but it's like he's scared to drive now that he can shoot a js? Plus all the TO's..

Would of liked to see Ves and KS get some minutes but again, they never could really get a foot on their throat.. Is what it is I guess.. Overall good win and I got to see it in HD so who am I to complain! :)

I hope Nene in the starting 5 is a rotation system only for CHI games, this and at home late this week.

Coming from a Bulls fan, I thought Wall played well.

Unless the Bulls play particularly badly, you won't get any penetration from your ball handler against us. What you will get, and Wall made the most of those opportunities, is dribble pull up jumpers from the elbow after a screen. That's what our defense is geared to allow.

So can we just play all of our remaining games on the road?

I'm not loving the switch back to having Nene start. He's going to get dinged up. Hopefully, Wittman did it just to match up with Boozer, but I doubt it. Coaches rarely change their starting lineups around based on matchups.

If Nene is going to start, I'd like to see him play 3-shifts per half: the first 5 minutes, then a 4-minute rest, then 6 minutes, then a 4 minute rest, then 5 minutes. That puts him on pace for 32 minutes a game and keeps him on the floor for the 6 minutes per half when Wall sits.

Nene needs to start. With Booker starting, we are a 35 win team. He's terrible.

Chicago is way too physical. Porter would have gotten beat up.

And Seraphin and Vesely have been getting owned by Chicago's frontline ever since they came into the league. I thought Witt did the right thing keeping them on the bench, we couldn't risk it this game. I think Seraphin could be helpful vs Miami, though.
