At least one of his turnovers was Beal's fault though.

Which one, the carry or the charge when he had the left side of the rim open?

Both were Seraphin's fault IMO. And the reason Beal couldn't get any separation and passed it to him in the first place is because Seraphin set **** picks and rolled too soon.

I half think he does it so his guards won't get free and have to pass him the ball.

Otto getting a lot of minutes. It's ok if you attack the basket occasionally.

Maybe I'm crazy but doesn't it seem like opposing teams use the "moving pick strategy" against us a lot? :(

President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

WOWZAS people give the kid a chance. This is probably one of the few times he's been given extended minutes for one period and maybe the first with all starters. The team has done well with him in. Does anything make you guys happy?

Pathetic end to the half. Nice transition defense.

Nivek wrote:Grunfeld has kind of a mixed history with salary negotiations. He did successfully avoid giving major contracts to Larry Hughes and Jared Jeffries. He reminded Arenas of Gil's promise to take less than the maximum and got him to sign for a bit under the max.

But, he also gave MAJOR money to the mediocre (at best) Tim Thomas. He gave the 34-year old Anthony Mason a 4-year contract.

And (I'd sorta forgotten about this) -- traded a 27-year old Ray Allen for a 34-year old Gary Payton. Who left as a free agent in a (failed) effort to win a title with the Lakers.

Been a couple years probably since you and I last disagreed on this. I know we discussed Gil's contrsct no less than half a dozen times if not a dozen. Just some historical perspective for those who are relatively new to the board. Nivek already knows the opinion I will restate.

Signing Gil's deal was a huge mistake that I predicted would prove disastrous. He opted out hurt after multiple knee surgeries. I said beforehand Arenas knows his body is breaking down. I suggested that he was hurt, he and Jamison both did not play defense, and was very against the combined $167 million the Wizards committed. EG made an egregious blunder.

Eddie Jordan made the playoffs despite Arenas missing almost the entire season. EJ messed up royally by sabotaging team chemistry playing injured Gil in the playoffs. After the Wizards were eliminated, Gil got paid, had another surgery, and 11 games into the next season EJ was fired.

Karma perhaps has befallen EG and the Wizards ever since. They haven't even sniffed mediocrity since. EG is still overpaying for injured players and players up in years.

Keeping Gilbert to 10M less -- the 111M he got-- is nothing I applaud. The rest of what Nivek said applies. EG gives major money to mediocre players.

Don't even get me started on his draft history. :(

CCJ, I have a family friend who works for Wiz organization. Well, really the Caps, but he is the "reserve" surgeon for the Wizards.
According to him, he and the other doctors told Pollin that Arenas would never be the same player again, but Pollin was so desperate to win in his old age that he didn't care. It was a go for broke move.
I don't think EG can be blamed for resigning Gil
.

Thanks, for that info, AFM.

An emotional decision made by an owner whose own health was declining ... What can you say? EG wouldn't dare object vehemently and risk getting himself canned.

Crappy ending to that half. Gortat should know better than to drive to put the ball on the floor in that kind of traffic.

He did fine but he's not immune to criticism. He's the 3rd pick in the draft. We crushed Vesely for 3 years and Porter has higher expectations. Now people asking him to be dealt is pure stupidity. Let's see him healthy, with a stronger body, for a year.

Terrible finish to that half. It's nice to see Porter getting minutes with Wall and actually doing things out there.

Suns halftime reporters just said Beal and Nene don't play with much passion when they don't have the ball

Not sure what that means, passion without the ball. He's still learning the NBA game. Beal doesn't really play with a lot of passion period. That's just the way his demeanor is. Probably right about Nene but we all can't be Miles Plumlee.

I'm watching the Suns broadcast as well and those guys are horrible.

Makes me appreciate Chenier and Buckhantz even more.

I thought Beal did a solid job running the offense early in the second quarter considering the line up on the court with him at the time: Porter, Temple, Booker, Seraphin.
