I'm not a Booker fan but why is he out of the rotation now? Is it possible they are trying to "showcase Seraphin"?

Otto Porter???

Kind of rings a bell. Isn't that some craft beer that used to be brewed in a cellar somewhere in Georgetown?

Wow. Wall playing like total crap. His head just isn't in the game.

This is where accountability should come in. Sit his rss.

That is when you really hate EG bringing in two very sucky backup PGs...

Yep, they sell it at the end of games after the game has gotten out of hand - I think it is called 4th quarter Porter...

Cousins was hosting a party and needless to say there were a lot of models and bottles. I'm just tuning into the game, but based on the stats it looks like both of them are playing like crap which doesn't surprise me lol

Don't know if this is true or not, but I have to admit that I was wondering if the two of them were out partying last night. I mean, they both were terrible tonight. Lazy, disengaged, sloppy ... And Cousins was a total douchebag.

This was about as bad as I've seen Wall all year.

In hindsight it makes sense... sadly

He started off well at least offensively. He took a long break to start the 2nd and seems totally cold when he got back in. Then I noticed they missed him twice on kickouts in the 3rd and he seemed to really lose his focus after the second one. I was more disappointed that he settled for so many Js and wouldn't drive. But then there was a possession late v Thomas where he played ferocious D. It was a strange performance....

Largely though I've noticed several times that if he sits too long it takes him a while to get back in rhythm. Randy's done that a few times. Wall starts off shooting well but sits a while. In that type of situation, it might be worth playing Wall/temple together a few minutes....

Exactly. Meanwhile. we are getting reports that Noel is looking good during his rehab. Its simply asinine why Noel wasn't the pick. The team has a screaming need for a big who can cover pick & rolls, and defend the rim.

Please trade Porter while he still has "some" value. Thomas Robinson got traded for spare parts. It doesn't take long to get the shine off of a lotto pick.

BTW, I said Shabaaz was the better prospect than Porter was. I still like him to have the better career.

I was just gonna say, even Shabazz is showing signs of life now. It's really getting embarassing for Otto

We all know how painful it's gonna be when Noel gets back and is playing well, or Len starts putting up Vucevic numbers.

You think Bennett is earning those minutes?

It's a little disturbing when guys who were afterthoughts as 2nd round picks or undrafted free agents are getting significantly more burn than Porter. I'm talking Matthew Delladedova, Archie Goodwin, Robbie Hummel & Toure Murry to name a few. And these are all guys playing for teams that are desperately trying to win games.

What can you really determine about a player in 207 total minutes? Nothing is gained by letting Porter rot on the bench.

On the other hand, a team that has plans of making the playoffs wouldn't be playing Otto Porter (he's been very bad, by the way). Hopefully, he gets better over the off season, but you can't blame Wittman for not playing him.

Pretty sad. Hey, I was young once. But who is looking after these dudes? Who is advising them?

They have to realize that they are under the microscope.

Again 207 minutes tells you nothing about his ability. Especially when there was no training camp or preseason. Out of all rookies, he's freaking 33rd in total minutes played! Wittman is not even giving him a chance. Considering the other options on the bench, the risk of wearing down the current rotation and the fact a lot is riding on that pick, it would seem beneficial to give him consistent minutes, even if limited, in order for him to develop some type of continuity with his teammates and maybe even a bit of confidence.

Pretty sad??? More like pretty common. I think we forget these are young spoiled millionaires. It comes with the territory. We can trade for some mature vets if you don't like your stars partying at night but that's how Unseld came to a logical conclusion to deal C-Webb for Mitch & Otis.

This stuff is way more common than people would think. These guys are young multimillionaires, and as much as the general public assumes their lives revolve around basketball, they still love enjoying the perks of their lifestyle as much as anyone else would in their situation.

Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley, etc used to party regularly on the night before playoff games. Heck Dominique Wilkins made a habit out of it:

Loool

Sigh...it's commonplace but despite the amount of greats who were party animals there's others who you'd never hear of hitting up the clubs during the season...

Forget about the game and their business or livelihood as basketball players. The thing that matters is that Lonye had a great birthday party.

My point still stands. he has two pretty good vets ahead of him in the rotation. We are not tanking, so there's really no motivation for a GM and coach in the last year of their contracts, tasked with making the playoffs, to give him significant game time.

Blame EG for drafting him. I knew this was not gonna go well after Martell was resigned.

Wizards fans........ were winning a game and finding everything to bitch about is commonplace. If your gonna be mad, be mad about the two previous games. Yeah this game was lackluster, but we got a relatively easy W. And, oh my, oh my, the Porter hate is getting ridiculous. The kid is in a lose-lose-lose situation and people here are acting like he's the worst player ever.

Return to Washington Wizards
