Re: The Washington Nationals Thread
I believe there have been eight playoff games so far with the home team winning seven of them. The only one not to win... If the Nats don't win today it's highly unlikely they win three in a row.

Happy for Zimmerman & lol watching him slow jog around the bases. Man is clutch, seems to know how to live in the moment.

That 8th inning was THE biggest inning in Nats history. And it happened the same day as Ovechkin getting 4 goals for his second straight hat trick - to start the season. A big day for DC sports.

Re: The Washington Nationals Thread
I'm not sure Dusty will ever win a series.
Last night he passed up numerous moves that could have paid off...
Kendrick starting for Werth. Defensive substitution in the 7th for Werth.
Bringing in Solis then not IBB-ing Almonte (or whatever his name is).
Bringing in Perez instead of Doo in the 8th.

So the Nats get a gift with the rain out but Stras "declines" the opportunity to start tomorrow because of an "illness?" WTF?

Yep. The last 24 hours in Nats world has felt surreal... and not in a good way.
Add in the US soccer travesty in Trinidad and I'm in a real foul mood.

I think we need more than a "He said he's under the weather" excuse especially when the game isn't even until tomorrow. That's a head-scratcher.

Looks like the media pressure got to them. Hopefully Stras performs.

If he has a poor outing I don't want to hear the excuses.

President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

Not much of a baseball fan but I catch myself turning in around this time of the year every now and then.
The tension was incredible and Strassburg was unreal.
Too bad that this is following the DC sports script to a t. Negatonians know exactly where this is heading.

Yes, but we true Washingtonians (aka Charlie Brown) KNOW in our hearts it will be different this time. We WILL kick that football.

I'm still in awe of Strasburg's performance.
Watched it again this morning and his stuff was just disgusting.
