Gary Forbes, aka the destitute man's Joe Johnson, just dropped 20/4/2 with 4 steals in 20 minutes of action. i know summer league stats don't mean jack squat, but i've always liked Forbes, especially at his wahoo days.

edit:
also Nik Caner Medley, Mr. Maine Basketball himself had a decent showing for the Clippers SL team.

The suns are stockpiling less-talented brothers and it's working out fairly well for them. Robin Lopez is a junk yard dog.

Stephen Curry isn't exactly showcasing his PG skills especially with the two Anthonys to pass to.

Looks like Blatche will play some. Sucks that I cant watch it this year of all years. This is the most Ive ever wanted to watch us in the SL and now I cant see it:

Wizards Make Cuts ... And a Surprise Addition?
The Washington Wizards just left for Las Vegas, carrying 12 players on their official summer league roster and expecting to get a cameo appearance from Andray Blatche for one or two games this week. Coach Flip Saunders revealed that little nugget after mini-camp concluded on Monday, adding that Blatche worked out with the team the past few days

Adam Morrison has been lights out in summer league. Anthony Randolph has been spectacular.

Of the rookies, DCZards guy, Tyreke Evans has been tremendous. Curry's shot has been terrible and he's shooting a bunch. Only one game, but Darren Collison was great. Blake Griffin with 27 and 12 makes me hate the lottery selection process this season ...

(Just going by coverage and stats, because no way would I pay to watch SL games.)

Here is Flip's comments on the game today...

Flip Saunders, on facing the Cavs today: "Is LeBron playing? We might have a guy who could dunk on him, I don't know."
I'm guessing he's referring to the confiscated dunk tapes.

Nikoloz Tskitishvili is on the Knicks summer league roster. Interesting.

How long are these summer league games? Two hours? An hour and a half?

About 2 hours or less: they only play 10 minute quarters.

ccj, I'll take a little credit for hyping Tyreke but the reality is that by the time the draft rolled around several posters and most GMs had come around to agreeing that Evans was probably the second most talented player in the draft.
