He'd be impeached, but he would have already been impeached for Stone's crimes he'd be associated with.

I always wonder in the alternate universe where Hillary a Clinton is President, how quickly the Republicans would have impeached her?

If Dems get control of all three branches of govt in 2020 (if they win the POTUS, it will be because turnout was so huge that they overcame all the voter suppression tactics, meaning they might in fact sweep all three branches), they're going to have to pass some laws being super clear that things that were "gentlemens' agreements" before are in fact illegal and you *will* go to jail if you do it.

That'll have to include some restructuring of the DOJ to make it *actually* independent instead of just "gentlemens' agreement" independent

Every day, it's another sickening item like this. The folks in the WH aren't any more American than foreign terrorists are.

Oh btw, the prosecutor resigned. Just another day in paradise.

Just curious - what would the mechanics of that look like. Would you have the DOJ outside of Administrative branch?

President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

Thank you prosecutors. That's what integrity looks like.

as clear a rebuke and referendum as it should be, i really don't think Barr or Trump gives a fig. they'll just promote sycophants to fill the spots and it'll be business as usual.

can't shame the shameless.

Trump is President Monte there are no rules any more! Daoneandonly blindly supports a man that’s said and done much worse than anything I’ve ever done or said so he shouldn’t have any problem with my language.

I’ll tone it down or whatever but I find it pointless to start one policing once things have gotten so far off the rails.

Rest assured Trump would likely be banned from RealGM with his first few posts.

That he couldn't hold a job that had any standards or even keep an account on a message board, but is somehow the POTUS will never cease to amaze me.

Some type of independent prosecutor. There would probably be more tolerance to it reporting to Congress vs. the Executive.

We need an independent directorate of corruption and economic offenses like Lesotho does, with merit based appointees and international monitoring.
