I can no see DM adding any draft capital to that trade and I really don't want a new front office going up against the trade god hin self so soon. Give them time to get their feet wet and for the guys to gain some value.

Would there be any interest in trading for Kevin Porter Jr from HOU? HOU will attach multiple draft picks to unload him, and we can certainly use that. We don’t have to keep Porter on the team… can we send him to the G-league while he gets his life together, or maybe trade him later in the year after his problems are more settled?

I would help them out. But I doubt they attach multiple picks. The only year on his deal that's guaranteed is this year. Next year's only good for 1 of the 15 mill. The could just cut him and eat 15 mill .

Absolutely not.

Don't want him associated with this organization at all.

President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

I want no part of Porter Jr. He’s a talented player and it would be nice to get those picks. But he’s had multiple on and off court problems and, apparently, still hasn’t learned his lesson.

If what Porter Jr. allegedly did to his girlfriend turns out to be true, he’s more likely to end up in jail than on an NBA team…and rightfully so.

I'm with Zards on this.
Of course I also hope he pays his dues, sees the light, & straightens out. I'm sure Zards does too.

Several teams are supposedly interested, I don’t think we should reflexively dismiss the idea, we could possibly net additional draft assets without Porter setting foot in Washington, DC.

Porter looks more likely to spend the next several years in prison than to play basketball anywhere....

I mean if they are offering a first or better for a team to eat that money. The wiz should jump at the chance. Then cut his ass and eat the money. It's 15 this year and only 1mill guarantee next year with a non guarantee in the 3 and 4 the years I believe

Wizards need to reduce their roster size before the start of the season. We have 17 guaranteed contracts and the limit is 15. Whoever is not in their plans can be traded for Porter Jr, and a bunch of picks. We also have a sizable trade exception to use. Something like Porter jr + Jabari Smith Jr + many picks FOR Shamet + Wright + Gallinari + Gill would work in the trade machine. Again, we can eat the $15.8M owed to Porter Jr and he doesn’t ever have to wear a Wizards jersey.

I don’t want the Zards to be involved in exploiting Porter’s crime…and the Rockets ain’t trading Smith Jr., the third overall pick in 2022 who has a ton of upside, just to get rid of Porter Jr.’s salary.

Looks porters deal is Bassically a 1 year deal. You can waiver him and move on only owing him 16 mil. I'd ask for the 2 nets picks or at least one and a bunch of seconds .

Now we have several packages to offer them

Shamett alone works. More guaranteed money next year but it's spread out better and the opt out is a year sooner.

Wright muscala and cooks

Gallo and wright

Gallo and shamett

Gallo muscala and cooks.

We’ll have to see how hands off Ted is now with new management. Personally I can’t see Ted signing off on that.

I'm with Zards on both counts.

Neither we nor any other NBA team should get involved in this business.

The part where he is owed 15 this year and 1 next year .... yeah if they ont have some kind of clause that gets them out of it they have to pay him eventually.

These contracts are drawn up by extremely good lawyers. You can be absolutely certain that someone who does what Porter seems to have done, is charged & convicted (as it seems he will be) & then sent to prison (ditto) doesn't collect on his contract.

Miles Bridges -- whose offense was FAR less severe than Porter's & who didn't get sentenced to any prison time -- wasn't paid for the games he missed while suspended.

In this country, you are innocent until convicted, & the courts have not yet spoken. Nor am I either an attorney or a judge. All the same, if things go as seems most likely, Kevin Porter Jr. won't collect on his contract.
