Wow, Bulls get a first for Mirotic and Pelicans add a piece plus clear a spot presumably for Greg Monroe. NOP clearly all-in on the playoffs even without Cousins.

If Monroe can provide what Cousins provided, maybe they S&T Cousins during the summer? Idk.

Brutal injury issues for Milwaukee last night as they got their arses whooped by Minny:
- Brogdon may be out for the season - he said he heard something pop - probably a quad - the look on his face was - he knows it's serious.
- Giannis badly twisted his ankle in the 4th quarter, and he's had knee problems recently.
- Eric Bledsoe missed the game with a swollen ankle.

LOL at the plan that everyone was finally going to be healthy today when Parker makes his return.

They may get in the Tyreke Evans sweepstakes now.

It depends.

Yes, he's a better talent than role players like Baynes and Theis. He's not a good defensive player. I guess it depends on his role.

Monroe can definitely help them with rebounding and with scoring in the paint. He's also a good mid-range shooter. He can help them in the playoffs.

I'm having flashbacks of Kelly Olynyk for Boston in game 7.

Monroe is an abomination on defense. Stevens better have a plan to mask him.

You're right, he can help the Celtics. He only played 465 minutes for Phoenix at @ 9.5 minutes a game. But he was outstanding in his limited exposure there. Scored a lot & very efficiently, rebounded extremely well, etc.

Boston had an open roster spot, & he costs them essentially nothing, so it's a definite win for them. & I can understand him wanting to go there, over say the Pels -- gives him a better shot at collecting a ring.

Not good for us, obviously. :(

Stevens can do anything. Really smart move by Monroe. He'll probably play really well and make a lot of money on his next contract.

Imagine if Hayward comes back.

Monroe is a lot like kanter from Utah/okc.. puts up efficient offensive numbers but rarely is ever good enough defensively to not be a net negative on the floor. His only decent defensive year according to drpm was 2014-15 and his only positive on court season was 16-17. Bost doesn't have the length mil had to cover up for monroe defensively, but they play hard and play mostly intelligently. It all depends on how their bench is able to mask him. I don't think monroe himself will learn defense all of a sudden at 27 y.o but Stevens makes marginal players useful, so I understand why they were in the market for him. I'm not sold it will learn to positive results, that's all.

Wizards fans...while we discussing Wall vs Beal or Beal vs Gortat or if Otto is better without Wall or if Sato is better than Wall (NATP4) Danny and Brad quickly pulling away from the Wizards at freaking light speed and building a half super team/half SPURS east like squad...and we discussing if this roster can play better. NEWS FLASH WIZ FANS...we can get WallStar, RealDeal Beal and OttoMatic (i.e. the best of our guys) and we will be vastly overmatched when playing next years Celtics with GH back...to compete we need a roster overhaul!

I don't know if we need a roster overhaul.

I believe if the Wizards do what I suggest they can make it to the Finals:

--Trade for Marc Gasol
--Amass three second round picks (their own plus two more)

Draft the following players: 1. Gary Clark (plays like Trevor Booker). 2.Pick one between Jevon Carter, Keenan Evans, Shymorie Ponds, Bryson Scott. 3.Ryan Boatright (or another stretch four/five

I think if they could get M Gasol this year (I heck I'd even try to acquire Pau).... He might be good enough to help this team advance. He would need some rugged brutes around him though.

I wouldn't call adding one center and a bunch of second round picks a roster overhaul.

Grats to Trey Burke for his success this season: 8 games with the Knicks: 24.2 PER with 60% TS% after 24 games in the G League: 24.9 PER with 59% TS%.

Have you seen the 76rs and boston play? We are on the Miami level and THEY HAVE NO REAL allnba TALENT- (Whiteside = 90s player - Dragic- overrated (wonder why?) and the mad gunner!) and honestly Milwaukee fired their high profile coach for not getting the most out of the team when they are essentially beating us NOW...uh overhaul needed...we are on the Toronto treadmill

Did you really just say the Celtics can do all things through Brad Stevens? Yeah really smart...Would Monroe start on the wiz?

To be fair, that's 8 games as a 12 minute per game backup. And 7 of those 8 games were double digit blowouts so the amount of garbage time may have been substantial. He has a sample size of just 101 minutes, all as a bench player.

I'm not hating. Just pointing out that those numbers don't mean all that much yet.

Lakers are 5-1 in games that Josh Harts starts. Hart has had back to back doubles (15 points and 14 rebounds, 14 points and 11 rebounds) in his last 2 games.
