I will absolutely concede, with that skill, the length, and athleticism, he can become great, hopefully that desire is in his chest and in his head. .

You haven’t been paying attention then. By all reports, he may be the hardest worker in the draft. Complete gym rat.

Seriously I was just listening to the hoops tonight podcast today (Sam vecenie was the guest) and both guys were marveling at Tre's shooting workouts.

Yeah, I heard that on Simmons last night, that he had some kind of Steph Curry-type of workout for whatever that means. He can shoot. We know that.

Don't buy it at all, not at all, every single person I've heard on the guy talks about the pathetic effort on D, and total disinterest in driving to the hoop. If he's just a glorified, ideal sized, jump shooter, then he has no business going top 10, let alone top 6.

Now if he turns that work you suggest into actual consistent effort, and learning on D, and inside, then he can become a superstar, but if he didn't do it in college, why am I gonna believe he's suddenly gonna give a ---- after getting into the NBA. I'm wait and see mode.

I hate the pick because I know where this profile goes to die, if the player doesn't put in the work to be great in terms of defense and offense, if you're right from your perspective, and he puts that effort into the game itself, then I'll totally concede, he's well worth the 6, I just have not heard, whatsoever, he ever has.

Love to get Bryant

Maluach will probably go sooner unless I've been totally wrong about him.

or Sorber, or Essengue, or Fleming or even Beringer, Wolf (maybe)

I trust Dawkins

I am surprised by this pick for the reasons you mention. I suppose when he’s not clearly the best player he could dedicate himself more on the defensive end. He’s a weak finisher. Could be useful off the bench as a microwave type scorer.

He said he wants to learn how to be a foul merchant like Shai which is one of the best answers I've heard out of any prospect. Smart kid.

He seems very likeable and the length fits really well with the current core. Could’ve been worse

Trades could still happen but man that's a wild thing . I like Johnson early on but I've soured on him a bit. Still think he's good. But I'm shocked we didn't just take queen early. Oh well. Move on. I'm still pissy we traded 40.

That's absolutely stunning. I liked the guy as a sneaky trade up target if he fell to the 20s, but at 8? Jebus, that's insane.

Getting him at 18 would be an absolute miracle IMO

And he also doesn't conflict with the positions of the guys we're hoping for early in the '26 draft, yes?

Can Bub and Tre work together in the backcourt long term?

As expected emotions are all over the place with this pick. Some love it and a few here absolutely hate it.

Tre is great shooter and scorer with the size and length to be an outstanding defender if he puts in the work. Look for Marcus Smart to help with the D part.

Let’s go!

It’s ironic that Bubs shot resulted in the Tre pick.

Hopefully they trade up for Essengue

If queen doesn't fall I go nuts and take yang at 18 if you can trade back.
