No Lowry or DeRozan against the Spurs and the Spurs only win by 8.

Man, zero help from anybody. Not just last night but over the last couple weeks. Definitely a bummer.

Don't despair, we still have a chance at the 9th seed. Go Wiz!
Thank God we didn't draft the Fat Matador.

This GoldenState vs Portland game is amazing. No defense and Lillard and Curry going at each other HARD. 91-84 with 2:20 left in the 3rd....no defense

Looks like even the chance of making the 9th seed is slipping away.

R never say must win in games that don't involve the Wiz but I'm pretty sure the Pacers are safely in and the Bulls are safely out (although it wouldn't shock me to see the Bulls squeak out some wins). That means for us to make it, we have to run the table while the Pistons lose 4 of 5. There final game is against the Cavs who will probably rest the big 3 so Detroit has to lose the next 4.

Tonight's game is huge. Not only will it be an L butits the type that could send them in a downward spiral and they have to play at Orlando tomorrow who is playing betbetter and has everyone back. They also play Miami again which would give them a menatal edge shall they win tonight

Perfect night. Bulls down by 23, Pistons down by 20. If Detroit loses at Orlando tomorrow then we seriously have a good chance and the Magic are playing aa good aa anyone right now

I'm with you...I'm cheering for the team until we're officially eliminated.

dlts -- why don't you give us some good mojo and launch the game thread for the next game whenever you're able to.

If by "good chance" you mean "not yet mathematically eliminated" then I agree with you.

But the magic number is down to 2. Detroit has 4 games left, we have 5. The total number of Detroit wins plus Washington losses must total 2 or less. So if Detroit goes 2-2, we must go 5-0. If we lose one more game, Detroit must go 1-3. That is not a "seriously good chance".

Towns is the next KG/Duncan. Might be a top 20 player of all time when all is said and done

To use your comparison, I think Towns is the next Duncan and Anthony Davis is the next KG. We will have to see if Minnesota can start running a competent organization eventually like the Spurs did around Duncan, but Davis already looks like he's well on the KG path of futility on a terrible franchise.

Davis Is more hakeem...towns is a man horse unicorn...
He shouldn't be compared to anyone imo...

Assuming the Wiz win out, the Bulls loss tonight means they are no longer in the way of the Wiz earning the 8 seed. And, it still can get very interesting down the stretch to see if Detroit can somehow choke their final two games after a loss to the Wiz on Friday. A long shot? Yes, but interesting nonetheless. #Never say die.

Well, whether or not he should be compared to anyone, as much as I like Towns, he ain't Hakeem or Davis. The first time I saw Towns, Rasheed Wallace came to mind, and I haven't changed from that comparison.

It looks like the Pistons would close out the season against a Cavs team that would be resting its starters. Unless LeBron wants to do Wall/Washington a solid, it may already be over.

GS gets help to keep the quest for 73 alive - from the refs with no calls late, and from the Grizz to have their final play go to Lance Stephenson.
