What could be more obvious than that the Caps winning a title in the NHL is evidence that the Wizards are managed well? I mean... how can anyone not follow that logic?

Pin it on your refrigerator:
"Ted Leonsis says ...if Washington misses the playoffs or fails to make the second round, he may have to reconsider his plan for the organization."
My favorite part is the "may have to."
What, I wonder, would make it imperative to "reconsider?"

In observance of MLK day this is relevant.

"I try to lead a double bottom life" sounds more like a Dwight Howard quote.

The MLK-Ted meme is a classic.
"Double bottom girls, they make the rockin' world go round."

Wasn't there one with G-Wiz juxtaposed with some other historic figure?

I think that one was actually satire, G-Wiz and Malcolm-X?

Actually, it's probably a better comparison than Turd/MLK.

I found the link, it was G-Wiz and Gen. Benjamin Davis of the Tuskegee Airmen.

Re: The Amazingly Sucky Theodore Leonsis Thread
I think Jerry Jones and cronies, billionaires who also own sports franchises are pretty much modern-day "kings".
To them the rest of us are minions. Their white collar help and military, federal, state, and local employees are workers.
Their man whores or female courtesans and sycophants are people who serve. Servants make the great benefactors feel like THEY bless the others...
I'm not doing anything but sharing my perspective as a serf/former military, descendant of southern cotton plantation slaves and maybe sugar and tobacco field workers.
Probably had some high level Uncle Tom kin, in non deragatory intent. Reliable domestics with mechanical aptitude...
Thanks Ted LK!

Re: The Amazingly Sucky Theodore Leonsis Thread
FWIW
On April 4, 1968, I was a 7-year boy. I lived in Memphis. My parents and their parents were born in Memphis.
My Dad was in Vietnam for the second year away.
I have vivid memories of the day I learned Dr. King was assassinated.
Not sure but if James Earl Ray or whomever was involved initially evaded police; if that party drove through North Memphis they might have driven less than a quarter of a mile from my Grandma's house.
I'm curious about Ted Leonsis back then. I believe he was in New York at a religious school and NOT rich.

Ted's done a lot to be proud of, but that MLK double bottom life thing he came up with... wow.

I think we can be reasonably sure that Ted didn't come up with these juxtaposed quotes himself. It was probably PR people lacking the necessary awareness, and the whole thing wasn't reviewed sufficiently.
It reminds me of the Kylie Jenner Pepsi commercial from a few years ago that played off Black Lives Matter and got pulled pretty quickly.
