Kevin Porter Jr., The talented and flashy shooting guard traded from Cleveland to Houston last year. He can get buckets, but he doesn't have the highest basketball IQ in the world.

Not seeing it, I'll be surprised if he makes the team

Yeah, he'll likely be fighting another ex-Zard - Sam Dekker - for end of the bench playing time.

The clips traded rondo and Bev and otaru for bledsoe...? Bit of a head scratcher there on both sides.

I mean sure money saving makes sense. But still that's a big down grade for the clips and the griz don't need Bev or rondo. Although they are movable so, maybe they can trade them later on.

$30 mil is an enormous amount of money, and then they can use that 8.3 mil trade exception. It's not like Beverley at 33 is likely gonna be that much better than Bledsoe. I expect that Bledsoe will be much more motivated this season than last - now that he's back on a quality team.

Gee whiz I wish I was one foot taller and forty years younger with the same athletic ability I had then. I know the NBA only has about 450 players but guys are Routinely bringing in 50 or 100 or $200 million contracts nowadays.

That is a lot of money for Robert Williams.

Re Williams, If Gafford has a good year, I wonder in-advance what kind of pay-day he can expect as a pogo-stick Center.

IMO Memphis has the best FO in the league -- by a lot. They came on board in April or May 2019 & just knocked it out of the park in the 2019 & 2020 drafts.

This year they traded up to get Ziaire Williams. In that deal, they somehow also turned the #51 pick into the #30 pick, which got them Aldama. All part of the trade that sent out Valanciunas for Adams & Bledsoe. They also got the Lakers R1 pick next year in the deal.

Aldama looked quite good in SL, I thought -- but I didn't see all that much of him.

KP Jr. is more JR Rider than JR Smith or Nick Young. Porter is an awesome talent…needs to grow up tho.

KPJ is a very talented knucklehead with an edge - so yeah the Rider comparison fits well. I definitely see some selfishness with him but he can get a bucket. JR Smith & Nick were more immature goofball types.
