Would love the wiz to find one more mid lottery pick and take Hendricks @8 and Coulibaly as a version of a Siakam and Og Anunoby

Well now that we don't have KP. You look at lively and go meh. It's Bilal or someone else if he goes higher. Like I don't see anyone in the top ten that's gonna make me skip.oit on the potential of Bilal. I don't see it. Lively is interesting but other than age why do I want him over some bigs in the second round or Jay huff. We there isn't a lot of size in this draft. I'd really consider a trade back before I take lively.

Where's the next trade? It's my Wizards smack now, and I need my next fix.

Dude today tossed everything in its head. I have no idea. What's gonna happen Bilal still stands out you can never have to many athletic wing defenders. We are full up on guards so. We need to go wings I wouldn't touch a big boy until the second round.

Updated and final list.

Dat2U wrote:I would trade up for anyone in the top 4.

1. C Victor Wembanyama - In his own Tier. Too many words have already been written. Easily the best prospect since LeBron.

2. G Scoot Henderson - I think he's got a lot of Baron Davis in his game. Plays bigger than his listed size. Explosive contortionist who needs to tighten his handle a bit. Fully fleshed out mid-range game. Long range needs consistency but doesn't look broken.

3. G Amen Thompson - a bigger, more explosive contortionist at PG than Scoot. .01% athleticism. Only reason behind Scoot is because he can't shoot at all. Still will be a walking paint touch because of his athleticism. Elite passer and finisher. A mid-range jumper from legit comparisons to Russ.

4. F Brandon Miller - basketball savant with limited athleticism. Quick, repeatable release made him the NCAA's best shot creator from deep. Struggles mightly to finish in the paint. Mid-range game not fully used at UofA but looked good in HS. More of a second option than a 1st.

I would love if either fell to 8 but I doubt I would sacrifice assets to move up to get either

5. G Ausur Thompson - a notch below his brother as an athlete ... namely the 1st step but shows more progress as a spot up shooter and is very comfortable playing off the ball unlike the ball dominant Amen. Elite defensive tools give a solid two way projection if you buy the shot.
6. F Cam Whitmore - outside of Amen maybe the best athlete in the draft. Rare combo of explosiveness and power in a wing with on ball-skill which is why scouts are excited as the shot creation upside is clear. Awareness concerns regarding seeing his teammates offensively and off-the-ball defense knock him down slightly.

I would be fine if any of these guys were our pick at 8 but I would not be against a slight trade down to obtain additional assets.

7. F Taylor Hendricks - Modern 3&D F with excellent shot versatility & elite rim protection, a rare combo. High energy, mobile leaper with some on-ball limitations. Safe pick.

8. F Gradey Dick - Elite shooter with ideal wing size. More than a spot up shooter, shows excellent decision making, can attack closeouts & shows elite footwork when relocating at the 3 pt line as well. Was targeted but showed fight and works hard on D.

9. G Kobe Bufkin - skilled combo guard who can do everything at a solid level. Can chain moves together to create his own shot. Excellent shooter & decision maker in the P&R. Cerebral kid who works hard on D. Can play on or off the ball. UofM took off when they gave him the keys to the offense.

10. G Cason Wallace - Two way guard who projects as an elite defender who can run sets, keep his team organized and nail open shots. Not alot of wiggle or an elite shot creator but not afraid to slash. Dealt with injuries that limited his performance late in the season.

Not much separation in this group to me. 3 of them are strong trade down candidates. Black & Walker however look like they'll be slightly overdrafted.

11. F Bilal Coulibaly - one of the better athletes in the draft who has PF length. Slow release and raw creation skills give me pause on projecting stardom but he has the tools to be defensive stopper on the wing.

12. C Dereck Lively II - most switchable C in the draft. Can hold his own defending guards so wouldn't get played off the floor. His offensive upside changes if you buy the 3 pt stroke he's repeatedly flashed in workouts.

13. F Jarace Walker - instinctive, heady big with an ideal PF frame but SF length. Shaky jumper and unwillingness to use frame inside to finish gives me pause while some are excited by the on-ball-skill & passing vision of a guy that's built like a tank. Defense is more about his excellent effort than foot speed which doesn't appear to be great. Solid player with high floor but also a relatively low ceiling.

14. G Brandin Podziemski - excellent shooter with ok handle who constantly makes the right decisions as his offensive hub. Highly productive guy that just knows how to play. Who he guards is a major question as he doesn't have the ideal physical attributes for an SG. Another kid with a fairly high floor but not the highest ceiling.

15. F Leonard Miller - highly productive athlete in the g-league. Reminds me of Tari Eason with a simliar motor that always runs hot even if the shot needs a lot of work. Should be a + rebounder with the tools to defend 3s/4s. Ceiling depends on expansion of handle & the improvement of his shot.

16. G Anthony Black - another instinctual player but Black is a + athlete too boot. Sees the floor extremely well but it doesn't translate into an ideal AST/TO rate which is 1:1. Shot is broken... like Amen's. Can he still be a walking paint touch depsite this? Defensely he works really hard and should be a + on that end. Ceiling is dependent on remaking his jumper.

If we acquire an extra 1st, this is the group I'd love to choose from.

17. G Jordan Hawkins - a walking bucket who might not bring much else.

18. G Keyonte George - a skilled shot creator who struggled in college but looks healthier & more explosive now.

19. F Maxwell Lewis - a skilled, versatile shot creating wing who struggles to defend.

20. F Jett Howard - length & shot creation at 6-8 is appealing. Injuries may have impacted his performance.

21. G Nick Smith Jr - injuries definitely wrecked his season. Flashes shot creation skills but cannot get all the way to the basket. Reminds me of Cameron Payne.

22. F Brice Sensabaugh - a pure bucket getter who's built like a tank and has incredible touch. However he does not see his teammates offensively and defensively no one in this class has more to overcome from a growth standpoint.

23. F Dariq Whitehead - injuries destroyed any lottery hopes but he's a skilled wing and good shooter. Whether injuries have robbed some of his athleticism is a concern.

24. G Colby Jones - crafty, do-it-all wing who makes all the right plays.

25. F Kris Murray - not his brother but high energy F who can hit open shots if given enough space.

Strong group of 2nd round quality prospects. Solid ones should be available at 35 & 42.

26. F Ben Sheppard
27. F Tristan Vukcevic
28. F Julian Strawther
29. C James Nnaji
30. C Noah Clowney
31. G Marcus Sasser
32. F Jaime Jacquez Jr
33. F Julian Phillips
34. F Olivier-Maxence Prosper
35. G Amari Bailey
36. G Terquavion Smith
37. F Jordan Walsh
38. C Adama Sanogo
39. G Jordan Walker
40. G Seth Lundy
41. G Jalen Pickett
42. F Kobe Brown
43. G Jalen Hood-Schifino
44. G Rayan Rupert
45. G Sidy Cissoko
46. C Colin Castleton
47. F Drew Timme
48. C Trayce Jackson-Davis
49. F G.G. Jackson

Some good late 2nd round/UDFA candidates.

50. F Jordan Miller
51. F Andre Jackson Jr
52. F Emoni Bates
53. F Jalen Wilson
54. F Mouhamed Gueye

Can’t see a world where we select a guard at #8.

I think it’s out of Whitmore, Hendricks and possibly Bilal.

I like a lot of these guys. I even like Lively as a dark horse. Who can't use another big time rim protector?
I didn't realize he was the number one prospect in his high school class.
