Wiz to change uniforms in 2010-2011!

I liked everything but the shiny sateen pajama fabric. Liked the stars, the two-tone, the mike tyson black sneaks. But hell do I know, my favorite wiz unis were the Orange Crush throwbacks. And red white and blue bores the piss outta me.

Totally with you on the sheen thing. They got a lot right with these unis, but enough wrong. I really liked out white "Zephyrs" throwback last year. Very classy and cool.

I prefer the old bullets royal blue (more of the AU blue that you see in Tenleytown) to the navy they appears to be going with.

All that said, I think it's going to be an improvement and am psyched for the unveil.

One last personally shameful look back at Wiz unis before Uncle Ted's day of glory tomorrow.

It pains me to admit that I kinda liked the Wizards gold and black uniforms. I thought it was really out-of-the-box and wanted to salute the Wiz for trying something completely different.

Apparently EVERYBODY ELSE on Planet Earth hated them.

My bad.

i really liked them too... but i think we kinda grew to like them because the wiz had a ~ ridiculously high winning % when wearing them

I also know that changing the colors is just a small step in our overall rebuild plan, just 1 of 101 things to do.

I also know that the jerseys and new look and feel will look much better if we can build a winning franchise.

As noted, we could not and did not change the name of the team. We were able - by NBA rules - to change the color motif; add some new word marks and logos; change up how we present that pallet; and bring to you - in one season - a new look and feel.
