Bowling is incredibly hard on your body.

You have a 15 or 16 lb bowl and walking along trying to stay in balance while moving your body one way or another. And even when you do it correctly, you puts a lot of strain on your knees, back, solder, elbow and wrist.

I bowled in a league for several years and I know first hand how hard it is on your body. Specially is you have a bum leg or back.

The last thing I would want him doing is bowling.

Don't tell my 80 year old Dad who can barely walk. Bowling is about the only exercise he gets.

Hey, I bowled with my twin 80 year old great uncles with was the main reason I was doing it. I just wanted to spend time with them before it was to late. Both have since passed.

It was great exercise for them but they didn't go about it the same way a younger person does. They know from experience how to do it without getting all contorted. Younger people tend to muscle the ball more so there is a lot more torch and it is way harder on your body.

Yeah, young folks shouldn't torch bowling bowls. They can catch on fire and burn hands. And hands should never get burned, so to speak.

But speaking as the son of sibling-less parents, and having very few relatives, I envy your experience.

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

Yeah. In EG/Wizards medical speak, it's always a rolling, never-ending two to three weeks...

2-3 more weeks doesn't sound that bad, probably about 10 games more missed.

Sounds about right. I think it's been 6 weeks since the injury was announced. Glad the early season schedule is light. We play the Bobcats on the 24th at home. That would be 8 weeks since the announcement and is the first of a three game home stand. If that's the target and he misses nine games, its not too bad.

I hope Wall comes back with a vengeance. As a person who has seen 90% of his games, I dont know why he's so underrated on messageboards. I understand he was the number 1 pick, but he was the number 1 pick for a reason...we sucked.

2-3 weeks is a Wizboard meme.

Is there a genuine schedule for his return or any news at all?

If you've gone to his games you see his real end-to-end speed. You can tell how physically dominating Wall can be if all you're doing is watching live. You see the potential and the moments of brilliance.

I had NBA League Pass last season and only see what camera angles reveal. I'm a bit of a stats guy, too. What I focus on primarily are statistics that I think show areas of strength or weakness. I also judge Wall by his perceived worth, or what his market value might be in a trade as well as how much it might be to resign him. Now, I'm looking at how this knee injury works.

I'm as biased as the next person. If I'm looking for things wrong with Wall's game I'm sure to find them. If I want to see great things, they're there, too, blazinskillz.

I don't just depend on what others say. Nor do I allow my emotional response to want to root for him keep me from trying to be objective about how the guy actually plays. But again, I have my biases, too.

The Wall injury was announced on September 28th so he's already been down for 5+ weeks. 8 weeks put him at the 23rd and we start a 3 game homestand on the 24th. I've read early December and late Novemeber, but it seems like its all been speculation since the original announcement. Nothing has come from the team. If we hear that his workload increases over the next week or so, than late November could be realistic.

Eight weeks or less, or your next player is free.
