The Kings game is a pay back game.

I know it sounds crazy - Wiz are only 9 games out of the eighth seed. Stranger things have happened...

There's a reason we're almost all considering the possibility.

If they play as well collectively as they did tonight, they would win 80% of their games. The question is can they win 70%, or 28 of the next 40 games?

A record of 39-43 MIGHT make the eighth seed.

I saw it too. I LOVE watching Irving but you have to wonder.. he took 26 shots, as a PG. The rest of his teammates were doing a lot of ball-watching. He's basically Gilbert 2.0 (granted he's definitely more efficient). How easy will it be to build around that type of player at the point guard position?

With Wall, you can pretty easily see that he will make anyone you put around him better. With a legit big man and better wing scoring, he would easily lead the league in assists. Most NBA fans would find it laughable to compare Wall to Irving atm, but if Wall ever develops a decent jumper you have to imagine that he would clearly separate himself as the better floor general.

I wonder if Emeka keeps playing like this, if he would consider extending after next year? 3/24 seems pretty reasonable to me.

If we keep balling like this we might as well push for the playoffs. Unless we get a lucky ping pong ball bounce we are not going to get who we want in the draft.

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

Great win tonight even though they didn't have Deng. They destroyed Golden State the night before.

A couple of observations.

Beal is definitely hurt or hampered by that wrist. I noticed he wrapped it up but it's either a mental thing or he just has to get by the pain or discomfort. His shot doesn't look that bad but he needs to drive a little bit more.

Wall has been fantastic so far even if his jumper isn't going, the drastic difference between him and Price has now hurt that second unit. If they can just stay even or -2, we can win most games. I don't know if Booker is the answer at the backup 4. Maybe you can use Ves in certain matchups. Either way, Trevor just has to hit the boards, make a few jumpers/layups and run the floor. Just play within himself.

I know people crush Witt's rotations but I found it interesting that he kept Ariza in late for defense. Good move but I'd also like to see Webster on the floor, especially if Beal is still struggling with his shot. Put Ariza at the 2 and have him defend the best 2 or 3. Also gives a little bit bigger lineup.

Okafor has been terrific last month. He was tremendous tonight with 15 and 16. Now averaging over 10 rebounds per game. Shooting 51% from the field. That what we need.

Defense was awesome. Not sure we're better than the Arenas team yet.

Just baffling how much different the team is with Wall running the floor.. I figured they'd better, but damn.. They all play with so much more confidence now..

Beal definitely needs a couple days to heal that wrist.. He grabs it every time he hits the ground, then seems to take a few minutes to get his bearings back..

I don't know about extending but until Serpahin learns how to rebound, we have nobody close to replacing Okafor. I wouldn't shy away from trading him but it would have to be for a younger big man.

It's not gonna happen with Seraphin, you can just tell that he only cares about shooting the ball, not rebounding or passing

I was thinking, a funny thing about this season, everyone here was right with their preseason predictions... everyone who said this season was going to be a disaster and this team had no chance was right, and everyone who said this team with Nene, Okafor, Ariza, Beal and Wall with guys like Crawford, Webster, Price, Seraphin off the bench was going to be good team capable of making the playoffs was also right.

I didn't see the game unfortunately but just reading the recap and seeing the brief highlights, it seems like this team is finding its identity. This is definitely a blue collar team built in the same mold as MEM and IND. I know they were minus Rose and Deng but its still good to protect homecourt in such a manner.

Another DNP for Jan, after what I thought was a decent game for him in the last one...odd.

Is Beal hurt? 2-10 is strange for him, he'd stop shooting if it wasn't going for him...You would think they would have done a precautionary x-ray on him by now.

^Wittman probably figured Jan had no business being out there vs Chicago's frontline.

Definitely looked like Beal's wrist was bothering him again, he was holding it after every time he shot

For the sake of their relationship I let it slide.... well, probably more to save the poor girl from having to do that haha. Just winning felt good enough, especially blowing them out for the most part, and seeing the expression on his face as the realisation kicked in with 2 minutes of play left.

Instead he is supplying me with a case of beer, something imported, and handing it over on banded knee, as he must refer to me as "my liege" for a whole month. Fair trade i guess.

Okafor is playing like the guy who won ROY 8 years ago. It wasn't just his stats - he totally frustrated Boozer and rendered him ineffective. The Bulls offense - playing without Deng and Rose really couldn't win with a bad game from Boozer. I watched the game on WGN. Their announcers are horrible. I don't know how the play-by-play guy has a job - he got the Wiz players names wrong almost every time. Finally, he stopped even calling any Wiz by name - except for Nene - and anyone can tell who Nene is. At one point, he was given a promotional paper to read and noticed a mistake on it. He railed on and on about the mistake and called for a camera man to come over and show him rip the paper in half. The color guy was better and was clearly saddled by working with a semi senile old man, but he lost credibility by saying Boozer didn't do anything wrong by throwing that vicious elbow at Okafor and then blaming the refs for not keeping things under control when Boozer again got over-aggressive. The refs handled the situation just right, imo.

Oh, and they did a LuvaBulls poster promotion - saying the posters are available only for people 21 and over...
