Remember when Trump shamelessly brought the Clinton accusers to one of the debates? Stormy Daniels and the Trump accusers should be at the State of the Union tonight.

It's clear Republicans want Russia to interfere in the mid-term elections. I hope plans are being made now for when the new deputy attorney general starts impeding the Mueller investigation - or worst case scenario fires Mueller.

Yes, you have.

Its just that our interpretations are completely different.

You guys would do yourselves a big favor by stop thinking the choirboys run this country. that goes for the Obamas the clintons and the trumps.

So far Trump is the cleanest guy in that office in 30 years maybe 40 years. Compared to everyone else going all the way back to Reagan, Trump is the closest thing to a choir boy but again still no choir boy.

It was 1993 when I first discovered exactly what political appointee meant. Now all of you guys know. Infer what you will infer.

That's absurd. What president has publicly tried to destroy the press, the FBI, and the DOJ - not even mentioning the threats and insults to North Korea and so many other things that he's done and not done - leaving so many important positions open and showing disdain for science. The comparisons to ANY other presidents are ridiculous. WE'VE NEVER HAD A PRESIDENT REMOTELY LIKE TRUMP. And he's had just over 1 year. What shyt is going to happen for the next 3 years?

Damn, it's been a while but this SD20 guy has made this thread borderline unreadable.

It's like "conservative" twitter puked all over a RealGM thread.

Ahhh, “The Memo”, Trump will be able to reference it tonight as that great travesty against him, I’m already hearing deplorable robots repeating the allegations as gospel on talk radio and C-Span. This is the stuff of Banana Republics.

I know that there are responsible Republicans out there it is reflected in the polls about 9% disapprove which is a relatively small number and independents 59% disapprove. The only group that Trump maintains a grip on is high school or less males he has even lost the + 65 group narrowly which will grow with fee hikes for healthcare.

The key to any election is the turnout of the various parties and the independent vote. This bodes badly for the GOP. The economy is the Trumps strongest suit at the moment but he has failed to drive the GDP over 3% and frankly never will. Never in the history of the USA have there been such a bad selection of a cabinet driven by religious and scientific bias. This group has harnessed the Neo-Luddite movement about the advancement of technology and a Anti Darwinian view of the world. I'm quite sure Thomas Jefferson is rolling in his grave over the idiocy of this administration.

As the noose slowly closes by Mueller on the misdeeds of this administration the Republican Party is eager to throw allies under the bus. They have a misguided illusions that the Numes memo will hurt the Justice Department and FBI which has always been a Republican allies. This will come back to haunt them since it has created a cadre of FBI agents and DOJ who will continue a investigation even if Mueller is fired.

The reality is that no republican in the house is safe without at least a 20+ point lead in the last election. Even in Red States Senators like Cruz and in Tennessee are no longer gimmes.

And to think Induveca claimed Assange/wikileaks were a "neutral party".

Read on Twitter

President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

TGW wrote:No wonder why the American public, according to polls, has no faith in this current government. It’s a soap opera, and both sides of the aisle are complicit. Yep, both sides of the aisle are complicit leading up to this epic meltdown... the trend really started back with Carter and has been accelerating since (although setting themselves up on DACA is more incompetence, IMO). And just to elaborate on your point.

I have to say Trump refusing to implement the sanctions on Russia is legitimately scary. Laws mean nothing now.

His purposeful omission of the rule of law is THE most damaging part of his administration, IMO. It sets a precedent of overreach by the Administrative arm that is going to be tough to undo.

Turnabout is fair play. When the Ds come back to office - you will hear the Rs scream bloody murder on this when it is used against them.

All the signs are right there as to where we're potentially headed..... :(

Indeed.

It's worth noting that when, not if, Rosenstein is removed, it should essentially be treated as a national emergency. When Rosenstein goes, he'll be replaced by someone who can quietly suppress the Mueller investigation while technically keeping Mueller in the picture. This is all really bad.

But I thought this was all a nothingburger? Something that many progressives, centrists and right wingers believe.

He truly is The Teflon Don, causally dismissed without much notice in the Media. Can you imagine Sean Hannity’s eyes popping out of his head if a President Clinton had failed to enact sanctions after Russia had helped her campaign? This would be blaring Fox News headlines for a week.
