Re: The Washington Commanders Thread
I want to know how they view Luke. They drafted him pretty high but he got very few targets. I am not sure what to make of him. Ditto Sinnott.

Re: The Washington Commanders Thread
I think they knew Luke would take time because he's inexperienced at WR. Tight ends often take time to develop. Hopefully both of them will take a good step forward this season.

Re: The Washington Commanders Thread
Luke's ceiling is a possession receiver IMO, probably WR3.
Bickerstaff: who's up for kickball?!!
Ed Wood: Only if it's the no-pants variety.

President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

IF true I'll pass.
Love Bobby but his sideline to sideline speed is non existent at this point.

No thanks Bobby. That defense was still average at best. An over the hill leader at LB doesn’t deserve 10 mil. We need athletes at LB.

Re: The Washington Commanders Thread
And the Bengals are basically the LA Angels. I trust them to make the worst decision possible with Tee and re up him and neglect their defense yet again. Elite QBs can make WRs. Jayden does need a monster at WR though that can go up and grab the ball in the redzone. Too many times we sputtered down there. We need SPEED at RB and a TE to be successor to Ertz. Ben ain’t that dude. Maybe he can be a h back.

Re: The Washington Commanders Thread
The more I look at this draft the more I wanna attempt to trade back and pick up a an extra second or something. Lots of starting caliber RB and WR will be in the second round! Lots! There are some beefy small school tackles I like late too and a couple of SR edge rushers that look like really solid pieces late.
In the words of PIFF
Trade back.

Re: The Washington Commanders Thread
I'm hoping for a 3rd from a Jonathan Allen trade.

President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

Re: The Washington Commanders Thread
Making Allen available and drafting Newton is exactly how stuff like this should go. Better to be a year early than a year late.

No one is trading anything for an overpaid, underperforming 30 year old coming off a major injury. He'll get released more than likely.

Re: The Washington Commanders Thread
On the bright side, this draft is deep at the DT position.
President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

Re: The Washington Commanders Thread
Don't be shocked it it happens. Vet d line man are valued in the NFL and one year deals are just as tradable in the NFL as they are in the NBA a middle of the road team might be willing to take Allen on a one year deal and kick that money down the road.TGW wrote:No one is trading anything for an overpaid, underperforming 30 year old coming off a major injury. A third idk.
Several teams with multiple 3-4-5 rounders the browns with 5 6th rounders lol
Could we get one or both of our picks back from the saints ? That would be a huge boost to the Latimore trade and Allen would fit well there.
KC or LA ?
49ers could use him and they have several 4ths.

Re: The Washington Commanders Thread
Allen is currently the 15th highest paid defensive tackle due to the rising cap so there could be a team willing to take on the contract. Granted, not sure what compensation the Commanders would get.

Re: The Washington Commanders Thread
I'm gonna dona couple of these a week leading up to the draft.
Boy do I have a guy for you!
DJ Giddens from Kansas
Will be 21 on draft day 6-1 215. Runs 4.56
He's a big power back with slightly above average speed for his size. He's smart and obviously has good fast twitch decision making ability. He has competent hands and can function as a receiving back just fine
Over the last two years as a starter at Kansas he's racked up he racked up over 3000 yards of total offence and over 20 TD on about 6 yards a carry and 12 yards per catch.
He would be a wonderful day two pick for the commanders whoa re in need of a stud. This dude is a stud.
