I think Ron needs to go as well but who exactly is going to fire him?

The current owner is on his way out

Best to let the new guy(s) make that decision.

President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

short qb's have a disadvantage seeing over the interior line, and makes over-the-middle plays difficult, but can have just as much success if not more doing RPOs and rollouts, which ties into the strong run game part of the offense. Wilson and the Seahawks had a decade of success off that exact blueprint. it's when you start forcing square pegs into round holes like Wilson on the Broncos now that you run into issues.

If only they could have hired someone like Kevin O'Connell. Oh wait...

Don't get me started about that.

I'm not buying that Scott Turner was the sole problem with the offense. I know thaat Washington fans are all acting like he was the main problem, but that goes against reality. If you don't have te talent to put up numbers, then you probably won't be scoring a lot of points. It's that simple.

They had one offensive player make the pro-bowl, and that player was drafted by the previous front office. None of the players that this FO has drafted has come close to being that calibre of a player. NONE. There has to be accountability in the front office with the level of talent on offense. They've trotted out a backup quarterbacks and washed up vets for three years now...that is unaccetpable in today's NFL.

I can see it now, the 2023 training camp rallying cry: "Make the Backfield Great Again"! And it's even more frustrating because he won't get an extension and if they miss the playoffs again he's gone, but the team will be subject to the impacts of these decisions for years to come.

Maybe one silver lining is this means they're going to focus on the O-line in the offseason?

Agreed with this take. And pissed that it was the Giants and not us in Minny. The Vikes were a fraud this year. I’d have liked our odds there.

So many marginal things to look back on. The refs blunders at the end against NYG. Running Samuel in third and short. And worst of all, starting Wentz against Cleveland.

This is silly. One decent game and their ready to call him QB1? Maybe Ron needs to go too, because his decision making these past few weeks are suspect.

I honestly can’t think of a better alternative. QBs in this draft aren’t good. FA QBs are either too expensive, too old or not any good.

The alternative is to bring in other quarterbacks and have an actual competition where the best QB wins. Giving it to Howell without any comp is just a repeat of this past season where they just handed one guy the job when he wasn't the best QB on the roster. The last week of the season was the first time Howell threw to Terry and Dotson in practice, so they haven't seen enough of him with the starters to make that judgment.

And I don't agree with you that there aren't good QBs in this draft or FA.

Rivera wants to run the ball (see previous Post) but also wants to develop Howell…

Be interesting to see who he offers the OC position. I’m assuming if they agree to interview they’ll accept the position if offered it.

I love the run game but I’m really tempted to see what can happen with Howell behind a solid OL & better blocking TE.

Good running backs are a dime a dozen these days and not worth taking high in the draft. What I expect them to do if draft line and secondary the first 4 rounds. Draft that dude from Georgia in the 5th or 6th and go best player available for the rest. We owe a pick from the Wentz trade but we are probably getting a compensatory 3ed ot 2ed back so it doesn't matter.
