President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

And THIS is what hasn't been explained to my satisfaction:
Assuming there's "nothing there" why are these guys consistently lying about these interactions?
And under oath at that.

The floodgates are open, fine. There's no way to stop the army of brown people entering the country and stealing our jerbs, fine. We must do ANYTHING to stop this. Apparently that includes kidnapping children to terrorize their parents. Does that also include gathering immigrants into concentration camps and exterminating them in gas chambers?
Is that the point where you would finally realize you are on the wrong side of this question? Are you just rooting for evil because it's fun to be on the winning team? Or are you truly evil and are just waiting for Trump's depravity to catch up to you?
It's a stupid hypothetical because there's no reason to exterminate anyone. You just gather them up and drop them in their home country. Then build a wall and don't let anyone back. I suppose the only scenario where deadly force might come into play is if there was a literal wave of immigrants rushing the gates after refusing to stop when told by the border guards. That would be equivalent to a foreign invasion and nations throughout history have used deadly force to stop foreign invaders without being compared to Hitler.
Good job baby Hitler. So you're advocating for a war crime.
Nate has gone on record saying he supports separating children from their parents at the border, and has actually taken it further and said there's no line he wouldn't cross to prevent scary brown people from entering his country

nate33 wrote:Oh here we go with YOUR lies and moving the goal posts. I note how you omitted the more interesting revelations in the IG report.
First of all, it was a major violation of protocol for Comey to unilaterally declare that Clinton was "extremely careless" but did not rise to a criminal standard. That's not his call to make. It's DOJ's.
You also casually ignore that the only reason Comey was in position to announce the reopening of the Clinton investigation so late in the campaign was because the FBI and McCabe sat on the information for a month. They had those Weiner emails for over a month and tried to cover it up.
And finally, the report said that there is no documentation that political bias affected their decisions. That is absolutely not the same thing as saying their bias didn't affect their decisions. Just because nobody actually wrote down: "I'm exonerating Clinton because I hate Trump and want Clinton to win" doesn't mean that's not what happened. The problem is that intentions are very difficult to prove. My guess is that when the indictments start getting handed out, they won't try to prove this type of corruption and will instead prosecute people for more tangible things like leaking classified information to reporters.
Nate, the IG report said point blank that Comey wasn't acting with any political bias. You're not fooling anyone.
And again, we're talking about the fact that Comey went public with the Clinton email investigation in a breach of DOJ/FBI protocol while simultaneously staying silent on Russia's efforts to help elect Trump.
You're still here saying that the FBI is corrupt and out to get Trump with absolutely zero basis for that claim and when in reality the opposite is closer to the truth.

This must be the reason Stone alluded to the possibility of a “perjury trap” for himself a month or so ago before this Post story was published. Stone is and always has been, a lying POS. The Post story shows coordination on lying about again, the Russian contacts. God I hope Mueller wraps up all of these POS liars and treasonous bastards.

No he didn't. How could you possibly extrapolate that statement(s) above? This is like yelling fire in a theatre.
Just disagree with his premise that we shouldn't collect individuals at the boarder and immediately deliver them back to their country. That you believe some portion of those at the boarder are truly being persecuted in their home countries and deserver refugee status. That you think the wall is an epic waste of time and money. That you think separating young children by force from their parents puts us on the wrong side of history.
Godwin's law takes effect here - this is how you immediately lose the argument.

Nobody wants to read these derposphere tweets. Everyone ignores them. They don't encourage conversation. They don't share any new information. They just take up space and promote SD20's agenda.

I would hope so, but I am not optimistic.
I think Melania is being used as a pawn to help continue with the "Democrats need to fix this" narrative.
I believe Laura Bush is completely sincere in her statement. However I think she has zero pull among elected Republicans. They seem to be 100% supporting the Republican party being the party of Trump. She might continue the migration away from the Republican party, by illustrating the lack of values supported by the party.
There has been a decent amount of talk about "what do Democrats run on?" for 2018/2020. Given their recent issues, I think the more relevant issue may be: "What do Republicans run on?". Especially in purple states in 2018.
I think Barbara Comstock is a key indicator for 2018. Maybe the Republicans can hold-on in the House if she loses, but she needs a platform to stay close. If her race is like the VA Governor's race, the Republicans are in a ton of trouble. The tax cut might have potential to help her, but it seems to be a dud. If the Family Separation issue is still significant, how does she take a stand on it? She loses Trump supporters by making a moral stand. She loses the independents/moderate by going along with Trump.
Even if the Family Separation is resolved without serious damage to the Republicans, there is a possibility of a similar issue appearing due to Trump's recklessness.

I asked him point blank if there was any line he wouldn't cross in deterring immigration and his answer was "no"
He is on board with this policy. Just ask him.
