Minny finally wins, but man did they try to lose. Luka actually a big choker tonight as-well as clutch.

Luka Doncic having a performance for the ages…decimating the Wolves as we speak…

I'm pretty sure Dallas is pleased with what they gave to get Gafford. I also doubt the Wizards will select a better player than Gafford.

Dan outplayed Gobert again and he's off to the NBA Finals.

Either way, a 2023 Wizards player will be winning the NBA championship this year

Both of those statements are probably true, but I still support the trade. Gafford's contract would have expired long before the Wizards are ready to contend, and I didn't see them bidding to retain a 28-year-old Gafford on the open market in 2026.

The bottom line is that Gafford's peak is right friggin' now and the Wizards mission right now is to tank. When the Wizards are ready to use a guy like Gafford, Gafford would be too old. (It's a pretty sure bet that Gafford's game won't age well.)

As I said before, the trade was a win-win. I'm very happy Gafford is having an opportunity to shine on a competitive team while he is at his peak.

While I would enjoy the Wizards dominating a series, usually one-sided series are boring, but that one was exciting and very entertaining. I don’t know whether they can beat Boston, but I’m going with Dallas all the way, and if they lose, hopefully it’s because of Porzingis.

Gafford is so fun to watch. He knows exactly what to do with the ball when he gets it.

Gafford will put up the same numbers for at least the next four years. He won't price himself out of remaining in Dallas.

Makes you wonder why couldn't Beal win more with Porzingis here? Hmm.

…and Gafford, and Kuzma. Nepo Wes is the answer, a real coach could have done better even with the injuries, good to see Gafford and KP thriving, Gafford not so much tonight.

I feel like the Celtics are Gafford's achilles heel. He has NEVER had a good game against them. Ever.

Because Jaylen Brown is much better than Kuzma (Ditto with Derrick White BTW). Holiday is much better than Morris. Horford is better than Gafford. And of course Tatum is better than Beal.
