Re: Game Thread: WAS @ ORL
After fending Howard off under the basket McGee just sprinted down court with the express purpose of beating his man, whom he had sealed under the rim, to the basket. He has been doing well this year hasn't he?

Orlando announcers actually very level headed. Simply said Washington can't compete at the pro level with no one who can hit a jumper. Also said they desperately need a few vets to lead the young guys.
Everyone can see it why can't our front office??

I can't imagine this going on for much longer. Something has to give. Whether it's Flip, Ernie or both. We look historically bad right now.
Agreed, we are an awful team with or without Blatche... but without Blatche we are an awful team with young, hungry players who care about the game, give effort, and may get better. In short, awful, but watchable. The only thing Blatche does is set a bad example for the young players, and take time away from their development.

It's just amazing how bad we are at shooting. I've never seen anything like it.

Jimmy Recard wrote:Do you remember some of the crap that Nola surrounded cp3 with early in his career? They were at least competitive in his rookie and sophomore years and by his 3rd year, they won almost 60 games and were one game from the WCF. He Tyson Chandler before he was Tyson Chandler, a pick n pop forward in David West and a washed up Peja. Now thats still superior to what we have around Wall now,, but cp3 made that team competitive because he mastered the high pick n roll game with West as his pick n pop big, Chandler as his rolling big and Peja as his kick out shooter.
I just want to see Wall execute the high pick n roll a but better.
We have no one on the level of David West. We dont have a Tyson Chandler (not even that version). And we dont even have a washed up Peja. I'd take a washed up Peja over a washed up Lewis any day. At least he could still shoot.

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

Excellent D by Young on back to back possessions there. And then Young takes it to the rack for free throws twice. He is playing smart.

Someone should e-mail that to Big Ted.

Man. I never thought the Wizards would ever be the WORST TEAM in the NBA, there were always 5+ teams that were worse.

So you'd rather watch him dribble stand still from straight away then pass it out to Young coming off a useless screen, or handing it off to an isolated Crawford and letting him chuck over the defense, or posting up one of our beastly bigs down on the block? Gotcha.
I'm just saying that nothing else is working, he should at least develop some type of 2 man game with Javale in the half court.

I remember at the end of last season we were looking forward to the guard rotation of Wall/Young/Crawford. So far all 3 have been crap.
I knew this team would be bad but i didn't see them being this bad.
