We added a SG also ? Dray benched deactivated for neck fat. I really have nothing left on my list at this point; This is perfect.

Ubiles was a scorer in the minors. Played at Siena.

I love how people keep saying Dray has to "get back into shape." When was he ever in shape? He's either out of shape or REALLY out of shape. Right now, it's the latter.

Looks like a win-win trade for the Wizards and the Nuggets. McGee is off to a good start, too.

I LOVE the look of Nene with Kevin Seraphin.

I didnt say back in shape. I said bench for NECK FAT.

I couldnt be happier. I didnt think they had the balls to go this far. I said bench him during the game and lock him in the gym or do it just for home game. This is even better.

Plus Mason found himself. Not sure any of us saw that coming two week ago. Mason looked done. Not he is playing with confidence. You can have a couple players who are quick to shoot. You just cant have a team of them.

I loved how Nene looked for cutters. Our guys weren't actually cutting much, but he was constantly looking for them. Hopefully that rubs off and we start getting some easy buckets off his feeds from the elbow and baseline.

The team looks *great*.

I'm unimpressed w/ Ubiles, though. Why not pick up a shooter instead of another dribble-happy slasher?

That's a minor complaint, though. I saw more tough picks set tonight than I've seen in the past 5-6 years of Wizards basketball. ;)

Sorry to break it to you, Blatche fans (the 2 of you), but you've seen the last of Blatche in a Wizards uni. After tonight, I'm betting he's amnestied. They are not going to ruin a semi-decent bigman rotation, chemistry, and a hard-working environment by bringing PhatPhukk back.

Only saw the second half. Comment on Nene's rebounding, based on that one half. I saw him look up and try to anticipate where the miss would bounce and keep his man or men on his side away from it. That's called blocking out JVMac. Your team gets the rebound, but you don't. I also saw at least one tip that was the equivalent of a well directed pass. That's called maintaining possession JVMac. It's a little more than just swatting the ball.

Nice passing, nice picks, great positioning for easy scores, generally good court awareness at ll times on both offense and defense (remarkable considering he just got here). More than that, he brings starters ability that relies heavily on experience and savvy. This is the veteran presence this team needs. Not a smart bench player or two, or a broken down or disgruntled vet, or Blatchemo. I know it's just one game, but I was very pleased by what I saw, and the possibilities of a Nene/Seraphin platoon wearing down opponents is further reason to hope.

Nate's right, though. Tanking won't really be necessary. We're most likely not getting Davis and past him, Beal is 2nd on my draft list. We should be able to get him with the 6th or 7th pick.

I'm actually just having fun watching my team play well right now.

+1. All I could say to my wife during the game is how much fun I am having watching this team again. I still scratch my head sometimes watching Crawford play, but the ball movement, toughness and IQ have multipled by 100 ever since McGee and Young were traded. Nene and Seraphin could be the new beef brothers. At the very least, Seraphin's improvement should allow the Wizards to rest Nene more, hopefully prolonging his career and making that long contract more palatable.

The other thing I have noticed is Wall looks much happier with McGee and Young gone. He also appears to be letting the game come to him, instead of pushing matters. Having Nene on this team is going to make Wall better.

I also agree that the tank might not be necessary. With the improved play of Seraphin and Booker, together with the addition of Nene, I'm not going to cry if we don't get Davis or Robinson. Beal, MKG, or Lamb would all be nice additions at positions of need.

I'd like to reiterate how PHYSICAL this team is now. Nene, Seraphin and Booker and 3 scary dudes. They're going to intimidate some teams. Booker was putting a hurting on people tonight. He laid out at least 3 guys.

Honestly, outside of the Lakers and Memphis, does anybody else have as much power in their frontcourt as us?

that's why his season averages aren't changing at all over the course of those last 10-20 games. becuase all those good and terrible games cancel each other out.

so disappointing. why can't he give a consistent effort every night smh..

Whatever, dude. Stop trolling.

Ridiculous to have mods calling people trolls for being critical of Wall. There was nothing out of bounds in his commentary.

I refuse to believe Andray Blatche has two fans on RealGM. Sorry, I'm gonna have to see some proof of that.

From a pure tanking game, this would have been a key game to lose. Being 6 games behind NJ would have just about sealed it - that's too much ground to make up in 21 games. As it is, I wouldn't be shocked to see us catch the Nets, especially if the locker room goes sour (which is actually fairly likely). And the Raptors are pretty bad, too. I could see us getting to 17 or 18 wins, and that might be enough to catch NJ and/or Tor.

But - WHO CARES? WE ACTUALLY HAVE A PROFESSIONAL TEAM AGAIN!

Ahh, that felt good.

Also, when is the last time a Wizard team coasted and then pulled away late like they were toying with a team. That usually happens to them. Not the other way around.

They still more building to do, but this is the best baseline core they have had in a long long long time. Not obvious problem that needs addressed that isnt already getting address.

This will allow a coach to actually manage the team. You can start to raise the bar now because the baseline is more solid.

I'll take it a step further. Does anyone have as much power AND mobility in their front line? the answer is no.

All 3 of these guys can run the floor and knock people around. Mobility is also key in the half court. Being strong doesn't help the half court defense that much if you don't have the mobility to make good rotations.
