Jerred Cunningham might play himself into a job if he keeps showing up Mac like this. Pangoe.... Hmmmm. Kenne should get some burn over **** wynes **** that noise. But young did ok. Not a good shooting percentage though. Robinson had a rough shooting night but played good D and mad his FTs come on guys can we not be super ****in negative. Was it a great showing. No not even close but there were positives. Humpries is still on the box score, but ochifu had a good game so!
I'm assuming we are just giving some guys burn bits at a time. I look for kenne to maybe play the next game.

Wow, so you want me to lie and say they were great? You are always going to get the naysayers and blame EG because he can't even draft a SL team. It was just one game but I call it the way I see it. Humphries got cut. Ochefu had a nice game on the defensive end but was awful offensively. Jared Cunningham is garbage even if he can score. Hopefully, Mac was off because he was coming off a sprained ankle. House's career is on the line so he was forcing everything. We'll see what happens in the next game. Young is going to the G-League to find a jumper and Robinson doesn't have an NBA body-yet.

Read on Twitter

#1 thanks for the tweet
#2 I said "did they have a great game, no not at all" never said they had a great game never told any one to say that!
#3 he did not have a good offensive game? 60% shooting 7-7 on FTs and 4 OFRB pretty efficient if you ask me.
#4 why is everyone beating up on Cunningham. He played 19 minutes got you 26 points on 58% shooting and went 66% from 3. Hes 26 years old. Like the same people talking **** on him would be the same people saying **** you EG if he went and balled out on another teams summer league and ended up playing good minutes for them during the season.
Like I get really pissed when people are like this guys trash that guys trash waste of space and time. like yall know people can get better right? Like I get it if the dude is 35 and have never done anything but like we are talking about a kids in their early and mid 20's they can get better and improve.

I agree with Gambit about Ochefu. He had a good night offensively. He had a terrific game altogether. 5 blocks. 3 assists.

Cunningham is a 26 year old, experienced professional basketball player. He had a tremendous game, but it was a man vs. boys game.

We lost the game b/c Memphis took 89 shots & 31 FTAs, whereas we only got 72 shots and 37 FTAs. It took them 17 extra shots (but 6 fewer FTAs) to get 3 points more than we did.

How come they got all those extra possessions? B/c we let them get 20 offensive boards to our 13, for one thing.

McCullough was sh*t. Young was sh*t. Mac was marginally better than that. Cunningham looked good but he seems like a fools gold player.

Ochefu had a decent game. I'm guessing he stays on the roster as an end of the bench big.

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

Yeah that game made my eyes bleed. Hopefully Mac has a big bounce back game on Monday. I know he's better than that. I wish we had a 1st round pick playing with the team from last year and this year. So many teams building through the draft with multiple picks and we have nothing

Last night gave us all a glimpse into the new phase of the "plan."

Sign as many tall, super athletic UFAs as possible who can't play a lick of basketball and see what happens.

Genius. Higher level stuff ladies and gentlemen

Mac was dealing with an injury -- ankle or something.... Not particularly worried about him. Not looking for all that much from him: just show you are a rotation player. He has the size & athletic ability for that. But... this is not a guy on whom our future much depends!

What we need is for someone *new* to shine.

McCullough, alas, didn't step up at all. I don't even care that his shot wasn't dropping. I'm not even all that concerned that he only got 5 boards in 30 minutes. What stood out for me, & was the real negative, was his 5 turnovers!! Again, that's in 30 minutes.

Michael Young -- well, first off they started him at the 3, so no surprise that he looked like crap. Later in the game he improved. Overall, I liked him. To me he looks like a guy who might be able to play in the league. I'd like to know how big Michael Young really is. He's listed as 6'9" / 235 lbs, but he doesn't look that to me. He's going to have to pick up a bunch of skills to make it.

Devin Robinson -- wow! He is really thin! & raw. But a very gifted athlete. In 18 minutes, he got 6 rebounds & blocked 3 shots. Had 2 TOs but also 2 steals. Shot didn't fall, but he went 3-4 from the line. I like this kid! But I doubt Ernie will keep him. Maybe if Brooks is really behind him...?

Ochefu -- stood out b/c he has a year's experience. Still... at least he stood out! Unlike...

House -- Can we please show this playground PF the door? Sheesh!

Pangos/Cunningham/Wayns -- auditioning for jobs in another league.

First game, but not looking good for McCullough, needs another 4 years of playing  , I was also surprised by how-poorly Young played. First game only so I'm giving everyone a pass for this game only.

gambitx777 wrote:Look I really like young, but im really confused as to why this happened? We have Morris/Chris/Scott and Gortat/Mahinmi/Smith/Ochifu. Why do we need young?

I thought those two 2 way deals should have gone to Robinson/Kennee/Cunningham/humprhies. Unless this means the end for daniel ochifu (likely) ? Maybe the are going to cut chris (doubtful), Or that someone is getting traded (also likely, but not likely the motivation for this move)

Perhaps after all these years they read my scouting reports and then decide let's just do what this n**** says...:)

I don't know that was a joke.

And that's not why they need him but it very well could be why he got a tryout.

I don't really care what you guys say I had a dream one time about Maurice almond playing for the Wizards. I spelled it that way on purpose. It scared the hell out of me. I was so scared I might have left a note with his agent and I might have told the agent to tell him to say this if he gets a tryout. Turns out the guy wasn't even his agent anymore he was just doing him a solid...

Come to find out later on that Morris almonds dad was a Air Force guy and I'm an Air Force guy... Both of us were born on February 2nd... No I'm the older one in there Maurice element I think he was born in 1985. I am too sick to edit my voice translator right now....

To make a long story short he got that try out he got a 10-day contract and I think he got a second 10-day contract.

All the haters on this I did was tell me how bad he stunk.

F*** you too. :)

As far as I'm concerned dude made like $700,000. He got 20 days work I think.

And if you just a by-the-numbers guy you should have seen the team's record they were six Ino.

You should have seen his defensive rating but y'all said that one s*** either.

The guy never contacted me one way or another.... Too busy trying to keep his career afloat I think he went on to play overseas after that.

His pops did email me and seems like a prude cool guy. I said a pure cool guy. Moto G must have a Japanese translator the way I speak it almost translates is if it thinks Japanese...

:)

Hilarious!!!!

I'm alright I just am having some thought problems right now...

Mike young really doesn't have a way to make this team. They don't need him for this team but they can use him for the G League because of the rosters are bigger now.

I told you he could play and when the mother f***** turns out to be pretty good you'll find out it was right again.

I might come back and edit this tomorrow if I wake up
...

Mostly just a joke.

I forgot about Devin Robinson and Pangos...

I thought they both did some great things. I like Pangos, has good instincts on both sides of the ball. I don't think he's an NBA guy though. Nor is Devin, yet.

I'm still trying to recover from this McCullough hangover. I expected so much better.

Monday vs Miami will bring Bam Adebayo & Z. Auguste. They combined for 25 points & 19 rebounds vs the Spurs in Vegas.

Hope Ochefu can continue to rebound & block shots like he did vs Grizz.
Auguste (drafted mid second round) is as big or bigger then Ochefu.
McCullough will have his hands full. I just want the turnovers to go away & get some rebounds or at least box out Bam.

And Free Keene !!

I don't care if he makes the team or not, but let's put somebody who can excite the team and push the ball in transition so our athletic bigs can thrive.

I'm with you -- hope is a horrible strategy. But it's better than no strategy at all!

On the SL team, sure.

Problem is, none of them can actually play basketball.

Midway in the 4th quarter M. Young had a burst where he did a few things that gave me hope. He showed a turn around fall away jumper from the low post that caught my eye & a nice defensive rebound. Mostly I liked that he stepped up his play and looked his best when the game got competitive.

McCullough and Robinson are, while Young is fairly athletic. Not talking about the regular squad.

Return to Washington Wizards
