The nice thing about playing with John Wall is you don't have to play beyond your abilities.

You're not asked to do more than you are strictly comfortable with. It simplifies the game and lets you focus on your core NBA strengths.
I've been taught all my life to value service to the weak and powerless.

Is there some type of running joke on the general board? Every John Wall thread gets locked.

Mods, whats up with that?

I noticed that too. Probably a Bulls or Raptors mod felt some type of way.

Wall has 29 doubles doubles last year.

right now he is tied for the league lead at 16 after 25 games.

Wall DRPM last year -0.44 this year 2.79 .. best among PGs 15th in the league just behind Nene who is 14th

we will only get as far as wall takes us...
he really needs to play more selfish in 2nd and 3rd quarters, and in the 4th when we need him too....
wall should have 20 pointd at the beginning of the 4th in every game....hes more than capable....stop watching cp3 and rondo tapes and watch more westbrook and iverson

I watched the Bulls game and I do love Wall a lot, but he got the points to catch the Wiz up by doing lay-ups mostly. However, once he did that, it boosted his confidence and he resulted in a mid range jumper that bricked hard. It's possibly a dumb assumption but it's possibly Wall gets too caught in the moment with his emotions as of right now.

the problem is that there are times where wall has to carry the team, a lone, like with that bulls game. he gassed himself out by single handedly getting them back in that game. He needs help, he needs a young guard that can hold it down while he rests. they need webby back so temple does not even have to see the floor, and we need help up front off the bench. This is a good team, but we still have some thing we need to add.

There was nothing wrong with how Wall played at the end of that game. That's a situation where you expect someone else on the team to show cojones as well and step up.

Last I checked Wall has a very talented backcourt mate who is expected to be a star in this league, and at some point this season will have to start living up to the hype. Before criticizing Wall I'm pointing the finger at Beal's disappearing act down the stretch, he can't only finish with 15pts in that game. Wall scored more than his average.

All the had to do is use Gooden a little more.

He played really well for them last year. He showed he had range. Dude is active on the offensive boards getting a tip in pretty much every game he plays. He takes charges. He usually brings good energy. He gave them 5 rebounds in 18 min last year and 8.3 pts

I also suspect, when Webster comes back, we will see a some more small ball with even some Otto at the 4

Wall, Beal, Webster, Rasual, Otto, Paul Pierce and Gooden is plenty of options to play small and open things up.

All those players can rebound.
All of them can shoot.
And all are good to average defenders.

And unlike last year with just Travor A and Webster, now we have Rasual, Otto and Paul and they can all drive.

As for the comment about Beal from Ill, at least for that game, he wasn't right after getting smacked in the head hard.

"Bradley Beal wasn't a factor after he left the game late in the third quarter from getting an elbow to the head. He went through concussion protocols and passed which is why he returned with 6:36 left in the game. Beal, however, didn't speak afterwards which is rare for him." http://www.csnwashington.com/basketball ... loss-bulls

That's absurd. It happens. There has been games where Beal has been on fire and playing well and Wall disappears. Do you switch sides and go to the Beal appreciation thread and post your disapproval of Wall in that thread? Yes, I agree amazing consistency would be God's gift for the Wizards, but it's **** basketball and that **** doesn't happen. I mean c'mon man.

It's just as absurd that you were calling out Wall, when he wasn't the problem at all. He was playing out of his mind trying to get the team back in the game.

I'm not saying he wasn't. I commended him to making the Wiz taking the lead, which was awesome and amazing, however did you not catch that I said that it was mostly by lay-ups. However, I feel once his confidence shoots up he himself gets too confident in his jumper. I don't mind most of the time at all anymore but there was a shot or two where I was like I was like come on man. That was an attempt of Wall taking over, and not Wall being the facilitator that is the better option.

I think again that is a product of wall not having enough help, I would not put that on beal, its the whole team, and it's not their fault either, it falls on the front office. This team was put together well, but there are holes that will be exposed and on those nights we will either see wall be super man and bring us a win on his own or will we see him be superman and come up short. We need another back up PG, we need some upgrades to the front court off the bench, and we could use another shooter. I don't think that you can put it on wall or beal if the teams flaws lead to a team loss.

You've gotta have guys that can make tough shots. Running the offense is great and all, and it works a lot of the time, but at some point you need guys that can make tough shots. We don't have him on the roster.
