I don't see any reason for the pels to trade Zion for cap relief like. They are **** why make it worse just hold out.

Liie sure maybe they save money but they blew so many assets lately can they afford to pay someone to take Zion

Trae is at least like still a guy Zions just to much

Bagley to Minnesota would work. Theyve got some picks available as well as Dillingham. Don't think we want/need Dillingham with Trae Young here. Dilly has been kind of a bust so far, too.

Why would Minnesota need Bagley? Don't they have the C position covered with Gobert and Reid?

For that matter, why do we want to trade Bagley -- he's been an excellent value.

And Beringer.

Gobert insurance? Depth in general. Beringer is not ready for real minutes for a playoff team.

We should trade Bagley because he's valuable and expiring. We have more need for the draft pick he would bring back than the one or two extra wins he would bring this year.

Because he'll help us win games and is an impending free agent.

I doubt we get much for him, though.

Dunno where he will end up, but I am happy for Michael Porter Jr., he has overcome a lot to get to where he is now as a sought after player.

There have been some interesting trade proposals on the Trade Board that seem well received by all parties.

The first is Bagley + our PHX 2RP (#51) to Boston for Xavier Tillman and their NOP 2RP (#33). Tillman's contract is expiring. Boston does it because it improves their center depth for a playoff run. We do it to tank and to upgrade the quality of a SRP.

The second is a 3-way involving us, LA Lakers, and Dallas. What matters on our side is that we trade out Branham and our OKC pick (#30) to get back Kleber, Vincent and the LAL FRP (#25). It's a lopsided salary trade where we eat about $17M in extra money but it fits into our available TPE's. All contracts are expiring so there are no long term ramifications. I like that LAL pick because the Lakers are punching way above their weight record-wise. The plus/minus numbers say they aren't this good and they could easily fall to 7th in the West. 7th in the West would probably translate to the 19th pick in the draft, and if they lose the play-in bracket, it could be the #14 pick.

After these trades are done, we would have the following picks:
Top 6
#19
#33
#42
#60

Golden State could surely use him in the Durant capacity before their window closes shut.

There have been a lot of complaints for Wolves fans that they have not properly developed Dillingham, he looks completely lost out there.

Would Nick Richard’s be an acceptable 3rd Center?
The Suns are looking to trade him and a Malaki Branham swap works:

I'd rather keep Bagley & trade Branham -- if possible -- for whatever draft capital we can get for him.

We would get zero draft capital for Branham. Nobody gives draft capital to a 10th man on a bad team making double the vet minimum. Branham is salary filler, nothing else.

Bagley has value because he is outplaying his minimum salary contract by a ton. And I don't mind trading him because he will be an unrestricted free agent this summer anyhow. If we want him on the roster going forward, it makes no difference whether he finishes the season on our roster. We can still sign him this summer. (Remember, we signed him last summer after trading him to Memphis at the last Trade Deadline.)

The only thing we lose by trading Bagley right now is more games - which is what we are trying to do.

EDIT: The more I think about it, the more I conclude that it would be outright GM malpractice NOT to trade Bagley.

:) All good points, of course. Somehow -- slowly & w/o my noticing it -- Bagley has become one of my favorite Wizards. :) Go figure.

Still... I could get used to the idea that every off season we sign him for 1 year, then trade him for some minimal value at the deadline, then sign him again the following off season! It's like free money. :)

If Bagley wants to be here I'd extend him for 2 years with a modest bump.

And every year he can bring back intel on other organizations. He can be our mole
Making extreme statements like "only" sounds like there are "no" Jokics in this draft? Jokic is an engine that was drafted in the 2nd round. Always a chance to see diamond dropped by sloppy burgular after a theft.
