The Heritage Foundation has a history of publishing racist articles. One token negro doesn't change that. Racist organizations in this country have used this trick since the late 1800's.

She has an impressive resume and life story. I think she got the job based purely on merit.

Wow, man. How virtuous of you to hold such a position

Last year, the company I work for had a very profitable year. The directors were asked if wages would increase and they decided that the money would be better spent on stockholder dividends and stock buybacks. The CEO bought an island.”

When I lived in China my business was located in Hong Kong not China for the simple reason that my clients were in North America, Europe, Middle East and Australia. The Hong Kong tax code said monies made not directly in Hong Kong was taxed at 0%. I was obviously small potato's to corporate giants but this is a report on it.

Yep, many countries exempt or partially exempt earnings from foreign nationals. Germany as an example, exempts 95 percent of the foreign source income of German multinationals from taxation. So, this big "thing" about giving a windfalls to multinationals is ridiculous.

You are officially crazy!

Evil is telling people to get health care and trying to facilitate it via the government....yeah all the republican Christians forget that all Christ ever did was give free food and free healthcare in the form of giving FOOD and Healing people miraculously but never did Christ ask for you for your insurance card or how you were going to pay. But wait the constitution says seperation of church and state...while Trump and Bannon supported a judge that illegally posted the 10 commandants in a court house.

Either way...it seems like you believe in living till you die and that you dont do modern medicine. Good luck with that ...but pass me the cream and the clear

Wait, we've got anther liberal basement dweller on here talking politics? weekday is that, 3 now? The audacity. Seriously. Go make a buck or two n pay some damn bills before you even jump in the damn conversation. Then try to learn something from those that actually pay taxes.

Between my corporate payroll and personal tax liabilities, my taxes exceed at least $400,000. Often exceed $600k!! My real estate taxes holdings exceed as additional $105k and i don't have children in public schools nor do my tennents. I would not be surprised if my taxes exceed the entire politics thread posters combined.

Yet they come in here every day to lecture me on how my tax skates should be spent. And won't even consider my position, both of which are ridiculous. Basically because most if not all of you think that people like me should pay even more taxes.

Yet i:
1. Have no children in school.
2. Do not have dental or medical insurance
3. I never go to the doctor for anything.
4. I pay cash for my prescription s.
5. I've never done anything illegal besides drive fast.
6. Never been in an accident.
7. Never been sued.
8. Never filled a law suit.
9. Never had an employee file for unemployment.
10. Never even used as emergency room
11. Like my parents, I will not suck the medical system dry and eat up a bunch of benefits and stupid doctor's visits when I'm old nor will I get unnecessary elective surgery nor will I take a bunch of pills and I will happily accept death when my day comes content andknowing full well that I lived my life to the fullest so I have no regrets to hang on to at the end.

So Someone tell me why y'all want my damn money!!!?? And you won't even listen to how I want you to spend it? Why should I not be given a bigger tax break than some making 40k and only pays maybe 4k net in taxes(if that).

Again, I grew up a poor kid from Roseland. I did notpppaccepted any help or handouts along the way Dave student loans at 7% interest which I paid back.

I even volunteer at multiple clinics.

I'll tell you what just give me a damn nobel prize for being so awesome and I'll call it it day.

The rest of y'all need to take a page from my book. It's called "pay your own damn billz!!!" Like all books, don't judge it by the cover because paying your own damn Billz is actually quite amazing even though it sounds like it sucks.

I'm actually surprised this isn't getting that much attention. The Republicans have essentially defunded Obamacare and Democrats are mostly making the tired old arguments about tax cuts for the rich. (Middle class taxpayers are seeing a much larger percentage reduction in their tax rates than rich taxpayers are.)

My friends on facebook are all passing around the article saying "Trump is so delusional, hardy har, that he thinks he repealed Obamacare!"

You are right - he did essentially gut the marketplaces. But some key (good) pieces were left in namely you can't discriminate due to pre-existing conditions, minimum medical loss ratio for insurers, health coverage reports, removal of the doughnut hole, etc.

It is a fair share issue. Let's take you out of the equations (although this is all really about you :)).

The notion is that you want people to pay their fair share of taxes. You don't want Greece or India because then the government can't fund the roads you and your patients drive on, the police can protect your property or the bank where you keep your money.

So, you want a system that is simple and one that everyone complies because they also think they are paying their fair share. When people believe that others aren't paying their fair share, they stop paying their taxes. And then you have a mess of a road system like in Chicago :)

What you got (on the personal tax side) of this tax bill is one that makes our tax policy even more complex and difficult to understand (or comply with). It will bury the IRS so that the audit percentage will go down. On top of that, many feel that it deeply unfair (so why should they pay their taxes).

Additionally, you want to drive the economy - how do you do that? You have a tax policy that promotes capital spending on productivity tools (not property as this bill does) to drive GDP. You also want to put money into more individuals hands as that will also drive a more productive economy (vs. luxury good spending).

And then there is the debt (the one that drives me the most crazy). In the end, adding to the debt will hurt confidence in the dollar - making your and my dollars worth less - and that is a pain right where I carry my wallet.

I gotsta agree witya here. Organized religion is not my cup of tea. Its a big lie. As I said over 300 Pages ago in the other thread, organized religion is nothing more than a tool to control the proletariat. But if the proletariat can't control itself then religion is a useful tool for law and order.

We either have an organized Society or we don't. And that organization cost money. I'd be more than happy to go back to the days of the Wild Wild West. no laws. no nothing. just a man on the street with his six gun at his side. But y'all scurred of that. I see it in your eyes.

So if we are going to have an organized Society then mofos need to get up and go to work to pay for that organization. And religion is one of those things that guilts some mofos into getting up and going to work. Necessary evil cloaked in righteousness I guess.

As for the cream and the clear be my guest. cream on! Just don't ask me to pay for it. Cool?

See how that works? You live your life. I live my life. You don't pay for me. And I don't pay for you.

Now what's so crazy about that?

The results of the analysis suggest that changes over the past 65 years in the top marginal tax rate and the top capital gains tax rate do not appear correlated with economic growth. The reduction in the top tax rates appears to be uncorrelated with saving, investment, and productivity growth. The top tax rates appear to have little or no relation to the size of the economic pie.
However, the top tax rate reductions appear to be associated with the increasing concentration of income at the top of the income distribution. As measured by IRS data, the share of income accruing to the top 0.1% of U.S. families increased from 4.2% in 1945 to 12.3% by 2007 before falling to 9.2% due to the 2007-2009 recession. At the same time, the average tax rate paid by the top 0.1% fell from over 50% in 1945 to about 25% in 2009. Tax policy could have a relation to how the economic pie is sliced—lower top tax rates may be associated with greater income disparities.

Not that I'm aware of but surely someone has.
My concern is that the major corporate cuts a ruse in that Fortune 500 type companies will not change habits but in fact profit exponentially since loopholes haven't been eliminated and in many areas increased especially in the real estate companies. You know I'm not against corporate tax cuts but like the Canadian model for small corporations better.
