You Democrats get so butthurt when one of your leaders get called out for being a corrupt, corporate POS.
Yeah man anyone who ever disagrees with you is a neoliberal shill and ardent supporter of the establishment democrats. You’ve really got everything figured out.

Re: Political Roundtable Part XIX
Keeping up with the music theme.
Different angle. Not unlike the "moral of the story narrative that good defeats evil" (and for me evil is defined as those that manipulate the poor and uneducated into a life style apathy and self loathing and victimization) the (elite ruling class) left has long been at work with additional narratives designed to not only enrich themselves, but to pick winners that further the liberal ideology while hiding their (true) initiatives under false narratives. The "lefts" real goal is to remain in power and enrich themselves. They have been long at work(centuries) with this narrative under false pretense like the model in this video. So to reamin in power, the left needs victims. because their narrative is to help victims. Logically, the lefts policies can NOT actually work. becuase if they work, there will be no more victims. and their narrative wont help them win elections. read that 20 times and try to punch a hole in it. anyone with a brain cell or 2. pretty please. come at me bro. and if you do, let me help. you only arguement would be that the liberal left would then change its narrative once all the "victims" are "helped" by liberal policy to the point that victims no longer exist. Or would new victims arise? The new "victims" of the liberal policy that helped the previous generation's "victims" ??? See what i did there? no of course you dont. The bad news is that you are too stupid to see it. or else you would not be a liberal left water boy to being with.
The good news is that you can change. You can learn. You can wake up.
In the end, the left always leaves town with a bag full of money. and they have convinced the poor and working poor that they are the cool crowd to follow because they always "get the girl." hmmmm. many thoughts run through my head about all of the lefts sexual scandels but thats another story.
The link below is one of my favorite childhood songs by 2 of my favorite artists of all time. As a child, I watched this video and though of both of them as heros fighting "the man" for the people. As an adult I realized that this model is false. It doesn't work. It leads to apathy of the poor and repressed. It furthers the agenda the poor "wait" for heros(robinhoods) to arrive and "free them." Instead of hard work, education and a never quit attitude with honest hard work that engages with society. This video encourages apathy, deceiving society, and waiting around for some else to help you. It encourages disingenuous behavoir...that the means justifies the ends. and it purports that these are the just "ends"
meanwhile, the kids remain at the orphanage. which means parents that are not ready to have children, keep having children. I'm pretty sure this model does NOT work but i still love the song and the artists. Not sure these 2 artists nor most of the left are smart enough to realize that however well intended this model is, is does not work.
The poor are remaining poor by overwhelming statistics. The working poor are remaining poor by overwhelming statistics. The middle-middle and upper middle class have become relatively poorer not wealthier. The model simply does not work. The narrative is false. Which makes the prophets false.
That said, I still love this song, this video, and these artists. I just look at it very differently today than as a child.

Re: Political Roundtable Part XIX
compare and contrast the Mccartney/Jackson duet with an almost equally popular (semi satirical) song, "Pink Houses" from the same era.
I never liked Mellencamp "THAT" much nor this song. The opening lines always made me cringe a little. Not because they were NOT inaccurate poignant political satire, but because I always felt the message awkward coming from a conservative white male.
Mellencamp's pink houses argues that life in the middle class and working poor is both heroic AND apathetic. While Pink Houses does NOT fully accept the injustices of wealth inequality it equally affirms that "the simple man pays the frills and bills that count." The message is clear. Get off of your butt and do something, anything, and live within your means for some level of self dignity and self respect...with a clear implication of then taking the fight (of wealth inequality) from there. Don't wait for robinhood. Do something yourself for yourself. Engage with society. And enjoy your "successes" and be happy however small the victory may seem but dont get complacent with the "little pink houses with an expressway in your front yard."
And I think the themes of these 2 videos remain at the crux of the political dialogue today. An argument that our political leaders are still having instead of going "all-in" in either direction. Without going "all-in" we just dont really know what will work best.
And this is the heart of my argument that I have tried to make in this thread since the beginning. Most if not all of yuo have made up your minds. So instead of arguing which overall direction is best, you simply argue minutia. and sling arrows based on that minutia.
In say say say. I argue that the robinhood theory has never been fully put to test. Because no country, no kingdom, in history has ever fully redistributed ALL of the wealth. The wealth always seems to slip away.
And if we are honest with each other, can the robinhood theory (EVER??) work??? Keep in mind that I have called for closing all loopholes in the death tax. and NONE of you. Not one single person will get on board. You simply wont tax the wealthy and I'm quite confident that I am wealthier than all of you combined. Which should be some kind of political wake up call to you but its not. Instead your mind immediate is aggravated by my words and the thought that I am wealthier than you makes you angry and will make you say angry things in return instead of dealing with the entire theme I just outlined in these 2 posts. Which makes you also lazy. Which makes you a typical human being. In search of the path of least resistance. Which exposes all of humanity frankly. A secret that the ruling class has understood for thousands of years. That human beings dont like conflict and dont really want to put in the work. You want it easy. you want it handed to you. and you want it to be glorious and amazing. Dont you think that "they" are well aware of this? Well aware of how easily your thoughts are manipulated?

How do allow STD to promote that stuff? At some point, a line has to be drawn, eh?
I hear you. If I thought there was even one person around here that was the least bit receptive/susceptible to that racist line of thinking, I might respond differently. As it is though, it seems allowing a voice is the equivalent of giving enough rope to that and all partnered views, and face it, the boy can't help it.
Trump rose to power on the strength of emotion at the expense of reason. I'm not going to waste time debating against the political equivalent of contending that Ricky Davis was A BEAST! But until some more sane people come in and more cogently attempt to argue for some of that perspective, STD will dominate his end of the spectrum and indeed be a constant poster child for Trump support. I don't think having that in your face is a bad thing.
STD was chased off the Wizards board once, was chased off the Bulls board, wouldn't last a day on the Current Affairs board, and is too self-absorbed to even acknowledge the temporary haven this board has offered his...discourse. You can ignore him, as many do. Or you can debate him if you like. I don't see the point in the latter. Property Dentist TFG.

If you haven't noticed, Monte and Doc may not "need" me on that wall but they do want me on that wall.

this video is poignant to the conversation here because the liberal left(ACLU) will generally agree that a small civil victories in a courtroom is "better for society" than something larger than national security. And the civil libertarian in me mostly agrees. But when national interests are on the line, I go with the greater good of the United States of America. Right or Wrong. The liberal left doesn't care. They just want to win. They just want to remain in power. Where is the ACLU defending Donald trumps civil liberties right now? As his attorney client priveldge has been attacked by allegations from a Porn Star in clear violation of a lawful NDA no less. Nothing against sex workers. At all. but they do tend to do and say just about anything for money.
Not so sublte but oft overlooked message in this video is that the left still thinks it is smarter than the right. That the right is going to be easily tricked into telling on itself. Here's what the left doesn't understand. The true and intelligent right is not interested in a hidden agenda. We dont need to hide our agenda because we have logic and reason on our side. We are the party of self dignity through education and/or hard work. We are the party of law and order. We are the party of living within your means. We are the party that understand that finding "lightening in a bottle" to get rich quick is not realistic. it takes time and patience to build wealth. We are the party that says get in line and do your time. Be patient. Engage with society. Love yourself. then love others. And you will grow. When you have all that on your side, you never have to "tell on yourself." get it?...... no...of course you dont.

I think it's more intended for the defendants to open themselves to the 'discovery' process, or settle. Which Dems will use as a form of admission of guilt.
A savvy move with some legal precedent. It also sets a tone for preventing future elections from being tainted without some form of retribution.

Republicans brilliant midterm strategy is to run against someone who isn't even in public service anymore lol.

So much for all the tax cuts and great things Trump was going to do. Republicans have been in control of all 3 branches of government for over a year and the best they've done is a corporate giveaway that everybody hates. Notice even SD20 is talking less about Trump making America great and resorted to **** posting irrelevant morons like Candace Owens.
