I agree with SOME of your points but I get so sick of this "Bernie was robbed" narrative.

You really wanna know why Bernie didn't win the nomination?

He got absolutely destroyed by Clinton with black voters....but Sanders supporters don't like to discuss that.

Bernie basically connected with white millennials and that's pretty much it.

That had nothing to with any DNC tricks

FACT.

Personally, I'm an O'Malley supporter so I have no dog in the fight....though admittedly I'm not a big fan of many of Bernie's supporters.

President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

I seriously doubt Bernie would have beaten Trump. Voter turnout might have been at an all-time low. He might have had more dedicated supporters than Hillary, but he had far fewer supporters.

Disagree.

1) All the head to head polls prior to election showed that Sanders had much larger leads in a head to head campaign than Clinton.
2) Hillary was a lightning rod for the Republicans (she had the most negatives for any Democratic candidate ever). In the meantime, Sanders had the most positives.
3) Young voters in the democratic primary voted for Sanders in 90%-10%
4) Sanders ended up winning states in the primary that Clinton barely lost (Wisconsin and Michigan).
5) The Clinton supporters that I have come across would have voted for Bernie Sanders. The Bernie supporters that I came across did not even bother to show up to vote. The numbers in the head to head polls indicate this.
6) The states where Clinton piled up her big leads among voters were not battleground states.

That being said, the pathway for Sanders to become the Democratic nominee may not have even happened. But certainly Sanders would not have had to deal with the bad optics that came from the wiki-leaks e-mails either.

Why did she feel she owed anything to Bernie - not a DNC member.

If there was any notion that HRC was corrupt - it should end here.

If there was any notion that the DNC wasn't complicit - it should end with this.

If there is any notion that the DNC isn't incompetent - it should end here.

For those solidly in the D camp - you should flat out pissed off. You should know that your party nominated a bad candidate. And we got Trump. Instead of looking at how bad the Rs are - you probably want to focus internally on how to clean up this mess.

bravo!

and to think, i've got about 3-4 hardline libs on here that can't believe that I voted for Obama and Bernie. and now fully revolted against my own party, have gone independent, and now feel more aligned with right wing politics than left.

The libs, the entire left and the DNC really need to clean its own house.

The biggest issue i see is just basic ideology. 98% or more of the DNC feels it can serve 2 masters at opposite ends of the political spectrum. The wealthiest elite ruling class(cuz they need money) and the poorest folk in inner cities and small towns(cuz they need votes). This is just not logical. And their policies will never reconcile themselves. These 2 groups are as diametrically opposed as any 2 groups can be opposed.

you just cant serve both of these master and make sense. policy just wont follow logic and be responsible to both. and frankly the poor should never compromise for the wealthy. and if the wealthy do compromise themselves for the poor it will be at the expense of the working class(who in theory have worked harder)...which in turn will also cap the poor's ceiling to that of working class. what you will end up with is illogical policy for either the poor or working class or both.

what's more is that these are the 2 biggest " i dont giva fuq" groups on the planet. they don't give a fuq about the deficit. unemployment, jobs, growth, nothing. why whould they!!!? Billionaires can move their money and themesleves anywhere in the world and the high end neighborhoods and schools will always be nice. on the other end, the poor, are having trouble keeping the lights on and food in the fridge why the eff would they care about the deficit?? I wouldn't. I mean, the poor, dont have the luxury of caring and the rich can blow their own smoke up their own ass so much that its just not worth the trouble to care about these mundane things.

and that's who democrats have come to represent. along the way, the dems realized these diametrically opposed groups didn't make sense and were not enough to win elections. that they needed a "crusade" and therefore played on the minds of a 3rd group. the socially conscious, overly sensitive, over educated, under employed identity politic ideologues. This group felt it needed more purpose to their mundane lives and the left gave it to them. so we can argue about who uses which bathroom!! I mean we're talking real needle-movers!!! But it worked. It filled politics with fiery and divisive rhetoric. It's really a new religion of sorts. Or better stated, nothing more than a rewrite of the old religions. but it comes with the same harsh judgements as if Martin Luther and the catholic church still ruled the day. We have essentially brought back public floggings. we just do it on social media these days. wow. the more things change the more they remain the same.

The left really needs to look within and clean their house.
like i said, its a full rebuild.

nearly every single poll conducted during the last 5 months of the DNC primaries had bernie beating trump by 10-12 points. HRC beating trump in those same polls by 2-5 points.

Had Barrack and Michele Obama aligned themselves with Bernie Sanders for the entire presidential race I'm quite certain that they could have covered enough ground with black voters to win the presidency.

And it might have been the best thing to merge Obama and Bernie as it would have built in to bernie's campaign a more responsible version of health care and Bernie would have been forced to back off the banks(who were large supporters of Obama). I'm no friend of the bankers but it is the bankers who have turned the economy by repatriating trillions back into the US economy eyeing the massive corporate tax reductions.

Not Sure Bernie could have jump started the economy, though. there's just no way he campaign on nor signs a bill into law that gives large corporations massive tax relief.

spot on. adding:

1. she didn't even campaign!!! She got outworked by Trump who was 70. Trump did 2 rallies per day, sometime 3, for the last month. HRC did about 3 total rallies in that last month. maybe 4. She only did about 10-15 rallies for the entire year. collapsed after one of them.

bernie appeared to have no such issues of appetite or endurance. bernie was ready to rally. bernie ready to debate. Where trump was nervous during most of those debates with Clinton. Bernie was a natural. Clinton didn't capitalize. Didn't inspire.

There is a weird timetable to this though. DNC being bankrupt - doesn't really change my mind on their incompetence.

But HRC as a fundraiser is big-time. And that the money was parsed out evenly to the states that were in play makes sense. Seems like she wasn't the problem - it was those that were in charge before she came on - I guess. Still figuring this one out.

So Donna Brazile is already backtracking on her whole "rigged" claim.

Read on Twitter

As other posters have clarified she seems to have been "mistaken" about the forms that were signed. Here is real time supporting evidence:

https://www.politico.com/story/2015/08/dnc-democratic-committee-hillary-clinton-fundraising-agreement-2016-121813

When Clinton clinched the nomination
https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2016/06/08/politics/hillary-clinton-fundraising-dnc-democratic-national-convention/index.html

https://amp.cnn.com/cnn/2016/06/16/politics/hillary-clinton-campaign-dnc/index.html

Bernie signed the same agreement as Clinton and he could have taken advantage but he wasn't focused on fundraising for state races.

Here's an article that highlights how monumentally stupid Braziles rigged comments are

i'm glad you are putting this out there.

apparently, R. kelly is still up to his old tricks. He has music compounds in chicago (17) and Atlanta (age of consent 16). Poor families with very young daughter feel that in their daughter's lust for fame, they are "agreeing" to being held captive in the music compounds Owned/operated by Kelly.

Non disclosures and out of court settlements appear to be the only thing keeping this man from getting raped in prison by Bubba and Tiny.

There was a girl group in the 80s that sang that song Cherry Bomb. Very similarly they were being raped by their music producer who had their parents sign them over to him legally.

that one was maybe a tad before my time. 70's i think based on quick google. but still. we need to expose away. and most importantly get these perps on court and take away their wealth. From Spacey to Weinstein to R Kelly to ben rothlisberger derrick rose and whoever else abuses their status, power, or wealth. it needs to stop.

Its the beginning of taking back all of th epower we have afforded movie stars, athletes, and celebrities and the wealthy.

i dont want to kill the human spirit. so i think people should be encouraged to earn and to innovate. have success. but loding that success and status over the masses be it in fame or wealth is just stupid. no body gives them that status but the masses. and the masses need to continue to wake up.

eventually, a time will come. I hope. that everyone on the planet refuses to go to work. refuses to pay their mortgages and refuses to pay their credit cards and car notes. and demand that the politicians imposes 100% taxes on every single individual and corporation on the entire globe. with full and complete wealth distribution as the end game. ground zero.

Imo, no good come out of one individual with too much power. and wealth is power. too much wealth in one spot isn't good for society.
