I know a lot of posters in this thread complain that Democrats don’t give people reasons to vote for them (not true) but Republicans are literally that bad. If your doctor said to change your eating habits because you will lose your leg, you don’t ignore your doctor because they didn’t inspire you enough. You do it because you want to minimize harm. Well voting is the same and thinking that you can vote your way out of all the horrible things Republicans will do once they get power is like thinking you can change your eating habits to grow your leg back after you’ve lost it.

I mean, I don't know why this stuff gets me so mad. I work in impoverished, low income countries - I see stuff like this all the time. I see stuff *way worse* than what's going on here. I work in Lesotho. I worked in *Liberia*, for chrissakes. Everything we see going on around us (well, in the Republican party) is totally normal behavior. I guess what makes me a little mad is we used to always lecture these countries on how they shouldn't engage in this behavior, and look at the great example we set. And we can't really do that anymore. I guess I really valued that privilege, to be lucky enough to be a citizen of a country that got democracy right. And to watch it all crumble down around me, it offends my identity, as a citizen of one of the greatest examples of democracy ever. I didn't realize until now just how proud I was to be an American, and it's being taken away from me, and there's basically nothing I can do about it.

Everyone has a line they won’t cross, even the Bobo. Having Ted Cruz’s baby, that was her line. That baby would have been Damien II, a sniveling, whining, lying, snitching, back stabbing prodigy. I support her right to choose, even if she doesn’t.
