This could be the craziest game-tie and win I have ever seen.

One of the best shaqtins I've seen in awhile. The Poole one was kinda weak though.

The Hornets have 81 pts at the half against the Spurs. This is the same team we beat 4 times .

They set a nba record for 3s made in a half at 18. Also shot 70% on open 3s for the game.

Old enough to remember when shooting 3s was mostly done
only in grenade situation as it was considered a desperation shot.
Maybe next decade they’ll institute the 4 pt shot from beyond half
court.

What has really led to Detroit and Houston finally taking off this year? Knew it was only a matter of time until Houston did but Detroit has been shocking. Is it the Thompson twins finding their groove? I still think Amen is a bit overhyped.

I've watched Houston several times. Amen is really good, a high motor menace. They have a lot of young guys from all the draft picks after breaking up the Harden team.

Detroit brought in Harris/Beasley/Hardaway to compliment their young guys and got rid of Killian Hayes who was awful.

In some ways, basketball today is now similar to football. It is totally predicated on having one superstar (or quarterback) who is both an efficient scorer and a good playmaker. If you have that plus 3 halfway decent defensive role players who can shoot, you have a reliable offense. Detroit made a leap because Cade made the leap to an All-NBA caliber primary option.

That's really all it takes.

Bringing in vets like Fred Van Vleet and Dillon Brooks were factors in Houston just as those vets you mentioned were factors in Detroit.

What preceded the half court heave was even crazier, the 2 three pointers within seconds when the game was lost. The Bulls really turned their season around with the trade.

That's the craziest sequence I have ever seen! The Bulls hit three 3-pointers in 11 seconds!

I gotta admit, I was wrong about Giddey. I thought he just wasn't a good enough shooter. I figured that when he left OKC and defenses would actually worry about him a little, they would shut him down and he would become an offensive liability. At first, it looked like I was right, but then Giddey went on an absolute tear since the All-Star break.

Before the AS break, he averaged 12.2 points per game on a TS% of .542.
Since the AS break, he has averaged 22.8 points per game on a TS% of .655 (also 10.5 rebounds and 9.2 assists).

Yep, I liked him in the draft & since, because I knew he could hit shots from beyond the half-court line to win games.
