Stacking the OL good choice.
Still like moving back hell I like moving back out second rounder if we get offers.
Once dart came off the board and it was clean SS was radio active then you started to see really fast that moving back might not have been in the card. If we got offers and we didn't id be pissed but I like what we did.

Yeah I watched the presser last night and Peters said if Conerly was not there, they would have traded down.

Apparently prior to the draft Kliff left a note on Peters' desk saying "draft the Oregon tackle"

PFF has Amos ranked 28th on their big board.
Watching on my DVR I am a little behind. While the 50th pick was coming up they showed the best available as:
QB Sanders
Edge Green
CB Amos
They obviously aren't reaching for these picks.

Lattimore & Amos on the outside with Mike Sainristill in the slot.
That'll work.

I am glad they didn't use a high pick on a RB or receiver.

Re: The Washington Commanders Thread
Listen I think there are tons of really solid big good route runer and running backs that are gonna be undrafted this year.
I'm not mad about the players good value good draft assessment there.
But poor asset management. If we had a chance to slide back a pick or two and pick up a comp third or a 5th we should have done it we need to refill the shelf and as a team in win now mode we won't be selling off enough players later to do that. This was our chance and we missed it.
Also need to have that internal talk that is SS keeps falling we do need a cable back up and he would be a good solid draft asset investment.

I think we can debate these picks. But what is clear is how much better the Adam Peter’s era is versus the Ron Rivera era where we took Forbes or Jamin Davis or Jahan Dotson in the first round. Massive overreaches.
Peter’s teams have been to the NFC championship 5 of the past 6 years. That is remarkable. The turnaround of the Commanders is remarkable. It may take him a couple more years to make us true contenders. But Good picks at high salary positions of need. Not reaching. Patiently letting the board come to him. I’m so grateful.

I mean yeah in years past you can definitely see the reaching .I think it's good to have a team who's good at talent evaluation.Northwest Roddy wrote:I think we can debate these picks. I still take issue with the asset management. But at the end of the day it is what it is I suppose.
I suppose we could still make some trades. I heard a bit on the wire that we might be trading players out on day 3 such as B rob.

I get PTSD when a corner is described as physical and is known as handsy. Haven’t we suffered enough with BSJ, Josh Norman, or Lattimore? I see a lot of penalties in Amos’ future.

I will die on the trade back hill lol ! There are still solid edge rushers RB and WRs that are gonna be around. Plenty of teams with out 4ths who have way too many 6ths and 7ths.
A trade back is still in the cards!

absolutely not on sanders! Don’t need that diva and his meddling dad anywhere near the organization. Plus he isn’t even that good despite what Deion and ESPN would have you believe. As much as our culture has improved, we aren’t the Pats with Brady and Bill.gambitx777 wrote:Listen I think there are tons of really solid big good route runer and running backs that are gonna be undrafted this year.

Look at what NE did with Joe Milton they drafted him in the 6th and after one ok game traded him a s a 7th for a 5th.Tyrone Messby wrote:absolutely not on sanders! Get him to cliff and let him mold him for a year or two and maybe he shows out in preseason or covers a game or two for Jaden cuz both him and our back up are bound to miss a game or two if he shows out we might be able to really get some solid draft capital from him in a trade after he proves he isn't an issue.
If he's there in the 7th I'd absolutely take him if in the commanders and cliff we need another QB on the squad any way.

There are several teams that done have much in the 4th or 5th round but have a ton of 6th and 7th round capital we might be able to pull out a trade back .
Keep an eye on the rams, KC, Det, cow boys, and hou.

Amos is a stud by the way. Great pick. Hope we draft Swinson today out of LSU. He was the best player on our defense this past season.

AP said Amos was in consideration at 29. He also said there were only two guys that they would stay and pick at 61 and Amos was one of them. If those two players werent there they would have traded down.
I expect a RB today.
