What is wrong with us being able to talk about it here ?

We have thread about absolutely nothing and they stay open.

Lyrical did the right thing. The admins have banned the use of baseball, football or hockey threads from the NBA boards. And why wouldn't they? We have new boards for them where RealGM hopes to foster more of a diverse sports crowd.

Sometimes I'd get a little depressed seeing the footbal thread get more action than all the others combined.

I miss the Redskins thread on the Wiz board. I understand they are trying to get people to use the Redksins board, but it seemed to get a lot more posts than the whole Redskins board.

It's a grand total of 3 clicks away from this very thread. If we're trying to clean up the plethora of threads on the Wiz board, it would make sense one of the first to go would be one that isn't even the same sport.... and, again, is a couple seconds away.

My issue with it is simply that, in all the time the Skins board has been up, it has gotten little traffic. Only a few of us cats post on it.

I really like the idea of there being a separate Skins (and caps and hoyas and DC united, etc.) thread on this board. Speaking for myself, I am a huge Wizards fan so this is where I live... I also like the other DC teams, but not enough to hang around more or less permanently on their boards. It's nice to have a thread in this forum in order to be able to talk periodically with others whose interests/loyalties are more or less similar, mostly at times like today when there is some hot, breaking news.

Ahh, I didn't know that. Thanks for the update.

But long suffrin' boulez fan has a good point. That is what I was getting at. Kind of like when we post about something about another team and then link to that teams thread.

You could have both.

Somebody get the Dame Golden State game thread up, it's only the most important game of the year. There's too much at stake to let protocol slip, I mean, would we deserve any sympathy if we win the game and end up picking 7th?

I'd do it, but I'm bad tank mojo.

I have been tank-a-fastic but I'm not sure I'm touching this one.

I understand where both of you are coming from on this.

What the admins are hoping this accomplishes is to create what they call a "Washington Community" which is why there are links to all Washington-themed RealGM boards on the Wizards Forum. It is less convenient to have to go to a different board to read about the Skins or Caps or what have you but the admins are taking a long-term approach and attempting to, as I said before, build a more diverse group of RealGM posters.

Oh, I'll make the damn Golden State game thread. My approval rating is already low.

We won the last game so dopeismarcus has to start the next one.

But if someone else wants to start it, we'll at least know who to blame when Cole Aldrich ends up being our pick.

I have to admit i got confused, I just woke up, and with the Asian timezone it's already the 6th of April here, and Buck was saying how we had a bunch of games together real tight, and, and, and.....coffee to the rescue. OK, never mind. My bad.

Having said that, the Warriors board is really tanktastic, I mean, I think half of those guys could tell us what Foye's mother's maiden name was. They're scouting us like that. That is the mojo that we're up against. We might need a real game thread with some, *gulp*, real effort put into it.

I'll send him a PM letting him know. If he doesn't get one up by tomorrow, I have one ready to go.

I hope the Admins and RealGM get some pony-loving for this. Jerks. (in honor of the wandering Pine)

I've always been clean and usually I'm sober. Drunk posting is fun though (I'm not drunk now). Alot of my posting was not done drunk, but I have wierd typing habits that I just don't care to edit :)

Greetings and hallucinations.

Sorry been gone. Work just was killing me - I was actually assigned to go to Hawaii for 3.5 months - and my daughter's been growing up really fast. She's now THREE!

OMG - where did time go.

I think I can/want to come back a little bit (but mostly when I'm on the road for work) for now. Better toward the end of the year as I transition into a new job.

So....wassup folks? Has the board been doing well under millertime's thoughtful guidance? Has miller learned to tamed that wild beast doclinkin?

Inquiring minds want to know.

I haven't just tamed the board. They collectively bow down to my awesome power.

Well now we really have problems have two horrible mods patroling the board again pine and miller. Next we know JRO is going to be wielding the ban hammer again.
