I cant think of a nickname for the Wall/Arenas... But imagine if Arena's went to Chicago?

Gun's-n-Roses. :)

That's good. I still say wall n Arenas should be Point n Shoot. Or Kid n Play, but that might lead to another lawsuit.

We had that in 2007-8 with Daniels and DeShawn. Although somehow that season DeShawn managed to shoot 38% from 3(but also the same from 2pt). If Gil was dumped and Livingston comes back the Wizards could end up with "Another Brick in the Wall, part 2".
Mason was a good shooter and did play 1700 minutes that season, but he didn't start and we can't let that pesky detail get in the way of an amusing nickname.

The main reason for the nickname is because the Verizon Center is in the heart of Chinatown in DC. Not to mention that there is quite a big population of Chinese in the DC area. Hell, if Yao ever decides to leave Houston this offseason, DC would be pretty attractive destination given the demography.

Considering how small Chinatown has become, I think Verizon Center might be bigger than Chinatown. They should just move all the Chinese restaurants into the Verizon Center.

Fire-Wall.

Fire, as in "fire up the Hibachi" (or to the more cynical, "fire up the gold-plated desert eagle").

The problem is a firewall generally represents protection (or defense) against outside intrusion. Question remains as to how effective defensively the duo will be. The potential is there, but we just have to wait and see how it works out.

Well it's been confirmed by Ernie that Wall's nickname is the Great Wall of Chinatown. :D

"It's the Great Wall of Chinatown," Wizards President Ernie Grunfeld said, before being informed that the team's top draft pick already has assumed that nickname.

Paired with the Yi acquisition, this really makes you wonder if Ted is pushing for the Wizards to be affiliated closely with China with fans and players just like the Caps are with Russia.

Yes, and they're inviting the other Chinese player Sun Yi to the basketball camp. Ted is going to make the DC Wizards an internat'l team. (As for look of team I'm referring to the Wiz aren't looked at as soft and a easy win to their opponents). I don't have a problem with that because I think it will change the whole look of this franchise. In a few years, DC will be mentioned in with the same line as LA, NY, Miami, and Chicago.

Hey maybe Yao will sign with us next season! :D

Oh yeah it could mean good endorsements for the Great Wall of Chinatown. The next thing you'll see flashing across you tv screens is China fans doing the John Wall. :D
