this is what should of happened..

we should of won the Blake Griffin Lottery....Drafted Blake...he gets hurt..misses the entire year...Gil brings guns...gets suspended....we suck...we win lottery again...draft Jon Wall

C-Blatche/McGee
F-Blake Griffin
F-Josh Howard/Blatche
G-Arenas
G-Wall

anyway...we better clear up cap room for Blake...him and Wall will be here one day. I can feel it

Glad you mentioned it Ji, Blatche for SF would really solve the Wizards wing problem.

Per the Wizards just now:

Practice has come to a close. Gilbert Arenas did practice today (Thursday) and Flip Saunders said "he looked good."

Why do people think Blatche can play SF full time? I think that would be a disaster for us.

I think it's just good news, according to Flip. ;)

Seriously, though, this is awesomeness incarnate. I'm excited to see this team healthy. Bring it Gil, and hopefully soon Josh.

Arenas working w/ 2nd unit at end of #wizards practice. Flip: "Right now, we’re probably going to go with the starting lineup that we have."

Flip is dumb. Its not like Gil has been out for 10 years. You start him so everyone can get use to there roles again. You also want some scoring help for Wall instead of putting alot of pressure on him & a rusty Dray

Flip acts like he is screwing something great up when we are 1-2 and only have the one win because of a miracle 3. Kirk has played very well for Kirk but he's getting 40mpg, only averaging 9ppg, and his D on the peremiter has been 50/50. Start Gil now. Now Gil might come in all uncomfortable and just trying to fit in instead of going all out

I could see bringing Gil off the bench if there were another competent SG on the roster. Even if Nick Young was riding a hot streak and starting. But this business of Kirk Hinrich as our SG is absolutely ridiculous. The guy is TOO SLOW to even be a starting PG, and he is TOO SMALL to play SG, oh.. and he can BARELY SHOOT! I'm really getting sick of Kirk out there starting @ the 2 when at best he's a solid backup 1.

Damn, Flip just loves Hinrich. :nonono:

Gilbert off the bench is a bit of a 'wtf'. It's not as if Hinrich has been such a solid producer so far. Hopefully that is a temporary future and not a sign of things to come.

Ladies, calm down. It's not about who starts, it's about total minutes. And given Gil's fragility, I have no problem with easing him in.

If our bigs go to sleep after their shots, we can probably kiss a win goodbye. If things go bad at the start, our young guys absolutely must keep their heads up and focus on the task at hand.

:D

Yes I am tired to watching Mcgee release after the other teams shot. I realise that wall is fast but make sure we get it first

i agree entirely that it's about minutes. BUT, we should play him limited, but effective minutes. we get the MOST out of gil without wearing him out by surrounding him with talent. AB/MgGee to clean up mistakes on defense and Wall to draw attention on offense. you put in him in with 8 mins to go in the first half with Nick, Armstrong, and Cartier and Gil will have to work harder on both ends of the court.

bottom line, i'd rather have gil play 24 mins of lazing around the 3 point line and draining jumpers than 18 mins of him working for his buckets.
