Looking forward to seeing how Gil looks on the 2nd night of a back to back. The good thing is that Cavs come off the bench small with guys like Boobie & Sessions so Gil shouldnt have a mismatch on defense and will be guarded by someone smaller on Offense. I want to see Dray vs Hickson. Dray's been getting fatigued quickly and looking hurt in every game. I hope he's ok tonight. Definitely want to see Wall bounce back. McGee also has to be able to be solid against AV. Do these things and it should be a win but I wouldve started Gil since we have a 3 game home stand & the Cavs have a SG like Parker who Gil can be eased back in with

Flip's an idiot. Gil has to start. Wall has no J which kills us in the halfcourt as he's always open but cant shoot which hurts everyone else. Then we have no other guy who can consistently create his own shot that people really fear. It would change so much to have Gil start. You could see it on our guys face yesterday in the 4th when Gil started taking over. They had that look like, we finally have a closer and we can follow his lead. Wall needs Gil in the halfcourt, period

If Hilton Armstrong keeps up with his stellar play, he'll have a WizBoard shrine by games end.

Hickson and Hollins look like veterans. Blatche and McGee look like idiots.

:banghead:

Also, prior to that timeout, I thought Gil was starting to handle the ball too much. Gotta get it back in Wall's hands IMO.

This is a poorly coached ballclub right now. No one knows what the hell they're supposed to be doing out there- everyone is playing like they're scared to make one mistake and get benched.

I know Flip Saunders has a lot of wins in the NBA, but he's had a year to teach his system to this team and he hasn't been able to do it.

Why is our defense so horrendous? Seems like the other team never misses anything.

I knew our defense was going to be bad this year but I'm not sure if I thought it was going to be this bad. Leaving the 3 point shooters on the opposing team wide open every game. It brings me back to the wonderful Eddie Jordan days.

A few things I noticed in the first half...

- Our front-court looks like garbage on both defense and offense. No low post scoring, leaving Cavs under the basket unguarded, not rolling to the basket hard, just pure filth.

- Gil still has play making ability. Wall dropped a pass that would of been an easy lay in, and Blatche didn't even try to handle a sick pass Gil delivered him. His jumper looks off tonight but that'll be back in time.

- Kirk Hinrich and Al Thornton are doing work. Without them, this game is a blowout.

- Why did I ever think Hilton Armstrong would be a decent player in the league? He might not even deserve the end of the bench spot. but he's our first big off the bench. We're screwed.

The worst lapse was that wide open Ryan Hollins slam dunk. Completely surreal as there was nobody within about ten feet of him (Yi and Hilt were out there for that; kinda funny seeing Armstrong get pulled and have that awkward convo with Flip).

I can definitely see how people would say 'poorly coached' with the constant cohesion, assignment and execution breakdowns. Plenty of it's on the players and the roster turnover, but our breakdowns are bordering on systemic.

Wall and Gil a work in progress too.

I don't know about Hickson and Hollins looking like veterans. Much of Hollin's stint was against Hiltyi anyway.

Snuggles has no use. At least Charmin and Kleenex have some redeeming qualities.
