All I've seen is that both picks are first rounders.

Hey, I'm still waiting for us to dump Blatche. Unless that happens in the next couple hours, that grade drops to a C.
I think we also have to take some time to digest what these other moves mean for the East and how it should affect the Wiz going forward. I'm not going to penalize Ernie for not responding to something that happened only 20 minutes ago.

Bickerstaff: who's up for kickball?!!
Ed Wood: Only if it's the no-pants variety.

Isn't that the plan; to build through the draft? Of course we are susceptible of EG making a dumb pick but the plan all along was to acquire young guys that can play together for 10-15 years. There's a big difference building through star caliber guys like Wall than mid first rounders and later picks like McGee, Young, Booker, Seraphin, and Blatche.
How long are we going to build through the draft. We're just going to get younger and more inexperienced.

I thought the Utah board was going to be losing their minds on this one but they actually are fairly level-headed about it. They figured they'd lose Deron for nothing in free agency anyway and were especially not happy about the Sloan situation.
I still think they should have gotten more for Williams. I wonder how many teams were aware of him being shopped. Plus, the centerpiece of this trade for Utah is Favors, but he plays the same position as Jefferson and Millsap.

Wow. Let's give up on the plan after half a season! Nice patience.

And, if any players get moved, it will unlikely be members of the young core -- John Wall, Nick Young, JaVale McGee, Andray Blatche, Trevor Booker and Kevin Seraphin. While two Western Conference executives said in late December that the Wizards were open to moving Blatche, the Wizards have informed others in recent weeks that they intend to keep him.

Btw, if this trade were done a few weeks ago, Jerry Sloan ya gotsta figure would still be there. I'm guessing Utah was totally surprised that NJ was willing to give that much up for Deron.
