Rubio goes out with an ankle sprain.

Marcus Morris is the leading scorer for Houston so-far tonight :(

My guy Marcus Morris is Houston's leading scorer off the bench. 15 points on 6/10 shooting. He's going to be a scoring machine IMO.

Welp, I said that if I couldn't have traded up for Kanter or "the other JV", I would have traded down for Marcus Morris and picked Faried with the 2nd 1st rounder. If the preseason is meaningful, it's a shame I'm not the Wiz GM. People say - ohhh, he's not athletic, he's a tweener, he's got t-rex arms, blablabla. Morris is a player, and he will be a big scorer in the NBA. Don't worry about matchups; he'll cause the bigger matchup problems for the other team.

Wow, this Boston team is a shadow of it's former self, perhaps they can red-establish some chemistry and come-back strong later in the season.

Edit:  Boston got it together after a few quarters.

It's obvious Dallas doesn't have much use for Haywood or perhaps he isn't a good fit for them. Wood only played 12-13 minutes in the opender. Dallas puts-in an offer for Fesenko and they grab Sean Williams from overseas. With Chandler gone, Dallas is not turning to Haywood.

Will KG get suspended for trying to choke another player? Doubtful.

He probably should. A one game suspension would be warranted... he put a good amount of force behind that "shove" and he aimed for the neck.

KG trash talks all game long; if he can't take a little coming back his way, that's on him.

walker used to play with the celtics too. it's strange to see that kris humphries top the list of most hated NBA players while KG wins nba citizenship awards.

Josh McRoberts had six points, eight rebounds and two blocks in a Lakers' debut Kobe Bryant described as "terrific."

McRoberts has been nicknamed 'McRambis' by some fans with how his style of play is similar to Kurt Rambis.

McRoberts started at power forward with Pau Gasol shifting to center due to the suspension of Andrew Bynum.

Per the Tap^^. Anyone see the debut of McBob? He was favorite on our boards and some thought (myself included) that we should have made an offer looking ahead for when Dray gets traded.

He was pretty quiet, but he seemed to be somewhat effective. Looked to me like he'd be best as a first big off the bench, but he worked hard and did a decent job on the boards in particular.

The Cats nip the Bucks, Walker was clutch. I had counted on wins over the Cats when calculating my win-totals. :dontknow:

Watching the Timberwolves right now. Amazing to see a team about as green as ours playing smart and under control. Rick Adelman is one of the most underrated coaches in NBA history.

I chalk it up to the players being smarter and better then ours... Our players seem to have that "Gotta get mine" vibe going on about them...

Amazing turnaround, OKC was able to win, but this is a good sign for Minny. Rubio and Barerra (with Adleman coaching ) has improved Minny quite a bit. All Minny needs is a real Center to play alongside Love to make some noise.

The Heat and Lebron James look nothing like they did last year. They look ferocious. Barring injury, I think they are going to rip through the league this year, and they've gotta be the vast favorite to win it all.

Cousins with a typical inefficient shooting display, 16 points on 18 shots against a team playing a small lineup.

Jon Leuer beasted for Milwaukee against Minny - and he did it without making any 3's. He's an interesting player - even if he doesn't fit any position. Keyon Dooling must have eaten his Wheaties yesterday.

Utah - is there a more lopsided roster in the NBA. All 4 of their top properties are PF's - Jefferson, Favors, Kanter, and Millsap. Kanter couldn't shoot in his first game but had 11 boards off the bench. Kanter could become the next KLove - though he's more low post and less perimeter. Hmm, the Wiz need a PF, and Utah has 4 of them...
