Re: Mitt Romney vs Obama GT 9PM EST
Vesely and Booker played more minutes than McGee. Javale went out early with 15 points but didn't return. Of course, Jefferson and Favors were destroying Javale inside.
Overall, the game was terrible. No defense was played. Exceptionally poor shot selection. They played like a group of individual shot jackers, including Javale.
This was the team I had grown to despise tonight. A lot of empty stat padding at the end by Wall.

Faried recorded his first double-double tonight, 18 pts 10 rebounds in 24 minutes. That's for you CCJ

Re: Mitt Romney vs Obama GT 9PM EST
This was our 3rd game in 4 days, and 4th game in 6- and playing in Utah at altitude is always tough. I think we did OK to hang in for the 1st half, but then we just ran out of gas in the 3rd quarter.
I agree that Wall was pretty invisible when the Jazz made their run- he is starting to get a little more rhythm on the jumper, to look on the bright side.
I also was impressed with some things that McGee and Vesely did- I thought they both played unselfishly and tried to pass the ball. Vesely is starting to use that athleticism, McGee made some nice strong moves inside with BOTH hands, and by late 3rd quarter the Jazz were actually trying to double team him inside. I don't think Jefferson's scoring was entirely McGee's fault- he was just in a zone, and they probably should have started doubling him a little earlier (they started doing this after he had already put up 32!)

its so sad when the fans want to "tank" on purpose. Theres no guarantee that anygood comes out of this shithole of a team.

My semi-positive note for the night is that most of Jan's turnovers occur when he anticipates the right play and makes a pass before his teammates starts to cut. Or, in our team's case, fails to cut at all.

First of many, closg00. Faried will average that much, very soon. Mark my words. Faried is going to be able to score a lot more points as an NBA player than he did in college because of how well he finishes. I think he's going to be a scorer like Millsap before it is all said and done.
How many double doubles do EG's picks, Vesely and Singleton have combined?
Sucks to be a Wizard fan at times.
(Answer: Booker had 5 double doubles last season, and one this season. That is all.)

When I first starting playing basketball, I'd be in the driveway playing 2-on-2 and my older brother was on my team.
He'd ALWAYS pass the ball where I should have cut or rolled or what have you. He knew these were going to be turnovers. He knew it would cost us but he wanted to teach me where to be on offense, off-ball.
He was a jerk but I'm glad he did it.

Is this a joke? This is why I think DC fans are incapable of watching a young player develop. If Wall is treated this way I can only imagine what people will say about RG3 if we draft him and he doesn't win 10 games his rookie season.

I like Mike Prada's take of the game, here is part of it.
We played Al Jefferson waay too-soft last night, I agree. Then-again, Booker is our only tough-minded "big"
This was in no way to excuse the Wizards defense, which loosely sagged off the of the two Jazz big men for most of the evening and paid the price. I am confused as to why coach Randy Wittman decided to play Jefferson the way he did, as there is enough tape on him to show that you need to push him out and constantly body him up rather than allow him to establish position or shoot uncontested from 10 to twelve feet.

This board is entirely too sensitive when someone criticizes Walls play. I know there are 5-6 posters who go negative nancy on him all the time, but I'm not one of them. Wall may have finished with a great line, but during the second and third quarters before the game got out of reach Wall was invisible. He'd walk the ball up court, make one pass to the wing and hide in the corner. He wasn't creating for himself or his teammates. No assists in the 3rd and didn't score in the third until 3 minutes left. The only way this team is competitive is when Wall pushes the tempo and probes in the half court. If he does neither they'll look awful, which is what they were last night.

Pushing the tempo is easier said than done when you are playing the 3rd game in 4 nights at altitude. Jefferson scored 34 points in 31 minutes. Is that on Wall too?
Bottom line is that the lack of production from the 3 spot night in and night out keeps the tank rolling.

I am one who has been accused of being too negative on Wall, but I noticed his improved play and was effusive in praising him the past few games. Last night he played poorly until the game was out of reach. His stats were empty. McGee also played poorly but only played 24 or 25 minutes. Wall played 38. McGee's stat line at 38 would have been very impressive, too. He would have had another double double with over 20 points. Wall played very well when the game was out of reach. Wall isn't alone
Crawford kept playing hard, too, but his game was bad early as well. He took his usual bad shots. So did Young. I thought the whole team was off yesterday. Booker had one of his worst games, IMO. It was sort of the opposite of the Portland game. That game everybody played out of their mind good. Not against Utah. The Jazz are physically big, strong, and tough. The Wizards are not going to beat those type teams, IMO.

too high a BBIQ for (most of) the rest of the team
Jan looks generally better game by game.

Seraphin has the rump to move AlJeff out. He didn't see the court until
it was way too late.
