Splain-why. Irving has exceeded excpectations, he has a jumpshot, and he has plenty of upside left as-well.

Irving is a poor defender, but unlike Wall as a rookie, lacks the tools to become an elite defender. Irving doesn't have fantastic size. Irving is a good, but not great athlete. Irving is not the distributor that Wall was as a rookie. On a much better shooting team, Irving is averaging far fewer assists.

Irving is a very, very good shooter. I don't ever see him being an elite distributor or impact two way player.

Irving will be a good, solid PG who will make the occasional all-star game. Bottom tier top 5 in the league.

Wall will be battling with Rose for best PG in the league and has the potential to be a top 10-15 player in the entire league if he continues to develop.

Irving not playing tonight due to illness, lets see if he is a go well-rested and ready for us tomorrow.

yeah, they are also getting blown out which could be a good or bad thing. Id rather they be getting beat by close double figures so they will have there confidence down with another loss but the game is close enough for the coach to play there stars big minutes

I was surprised when i read Irving has a 6'4 wingspan. That's pretty small. Wall is around 6'10.

Dray will return for spot minutes.
Nick is out. I guess Roger will be getting some burn as back up behind Crawford.
Lewis is out ? Dudes knee has to be really messed up if he can't keep it right give the limited minutes he plays. Unless this is some kind of BS because they want to get other players minutes, Lewis is done. 13 years is a good run and he has his money. So far he has missed 7 of 28 games. Did he get the plasma injections treatment yet that Kobe and Gil did ?

Ronny is overseas trying to fix his visa ?

Huuuuge game for the tank. If we can pull out a loss, we'll be 2 games ahead of NO for the 2nd slot in the lotto.

I think I'm hoping that we win though.

Nonsense! How is Irving overrated? If anything, hes exceeded everyone's expectations of his impact.

Irvings had over 7 assists in 2 games all season, sorry that's not what I want from my PG. He is a shoot first PG who has average vision and doesn't play defense.

I'm one of Wall's biggest supporters but to say Irving is a shoot first PG with average vision is ridiculous.

And to say Irving doesn't have an upside or won't greatly improve is homerism at it's worst.

Irving has been revelation for Cleveland. He's been everything they expected and more. He's shot the ball incredibly well as a high volume scorer. And he's asked to be a high volume scorer because of the Cavs roster limitaitions. Kyrie has also played significant time off the ball alongside Sessions which shows his high skill level and incredible versatility.

Irving as wasn't handed the keys to the offense as Wall was last year. The Cavs have been very careful not to ask too much of him. Often in end game situations, he has played off the ball as more of a spot up shooter.

Over the course of the season so far, Irving has been the better player than Wall. But Wall of the last few weeks has been just as good if not better than Kyrie. I look forward to watching these guys battle it out over the next decade for PG supremacy in the east. The are just totally different in terms of how they are successful but we don't need to knock one down to make the other look better.

All this talk about Irvin not measuring up to Wall makes us look pretty damn petty as a fan base.

Wall has his flaws, and Irving is far from perfect, that doesn't mean that they're not both incredible talents.

Me personally, I connect more with Wall's story and what he's overcome to get here, but you have to tip your hat to what Irving has done since he joined the league. He was essentially a shot in the dark with as little playing time he saw in college, and for him to step into the spotlight to be the man in the city Lebron abandoned is pretty damn impressive.

All im looking forward is to see what bone-headed plays Javale McGee will make. I have hope for him but he the talk of Shaqtin a fool he's on it every time . I really hope he watch it and see how much of a fool he makes of himself.

as I predicted, McGee will start tonight. Then for the Cavs, they are replacing Erdan & Cassipi with Hollins & Gee.
