To quote Bill Simmons, you're going to need permission from the Committee of Cross-Racial NBA Comparisons to make that comparison. I just asked them; they said they needed 24 hours.

Maybe Shurna can be our Steve Novak? ;-)

I was surprised, Sev, to see Zeller compared to Greg Monroe.

Does anybody think we can go undefeated?

PG: Wall
SG: Beal
SF: Singleton
PF: Vesely
C: Seraphin maybe

Add in Mack and Crawford to the bench mob, and you've got a heck of an SL team lol.

I know the Olympics don't start until July 27th, but I don't know about Seraphin's availability for the SL before that.

Monroe is a lot more skilled, Zeller is a bit better athlete.

No way is he doing the Summer League. Not sure why he needs it. That's just too much wear and tear on the big guy. SL is all about running up and down and getting your shot. They know what he can do.

I disagree Seraphin could use more PT, but he'll likely be getting it in France though against better competition which is what i think most around here would prefer.

Summer league is fun but there won't be a lot of halfcourt situations and it's not like he's posting up against Dwight, Hibbert, KG, Ibaka, LaMarcus, Bynum, Pau, Marc, Timmy, etc.

Is Wall really doing summer league? Is there a break down of the guys the Wiz picked up anywhere?

I'm wondering the same thing. I see that Kevin Jones of West Va. already signed a three-year deal with Cleveland. He was considered the best FA available though kind of a tweener at 6-7, 250.

I doubt Seraphin. Isn't he playing with the French team in intl play? (which is even better).

More interested in going after the G-town guys. Sims can be a 3rd center and Hollis could push Singleton for backup 3 minutes IMO.

I can't imagine why you'd be more interested in Georgetown guys. I'm interested in finding the best guys.

Now, Hollis Thompson may be among those best guys. But Sims...? He shot 46% and grabbed 8.7 boards per 40 minutes. Drew Gordon

(I'm having trouble getting over our inept handling of Round 2 (why not keep #46 for Satoransky if he was a must, and use #32 for a guy who'd have been picked in round 1 in any draft that didn't follow a lockout? I guess keeping a roster spot for Mo Evans was oh so very important.).

Wow, that'd be big, huh? Go undefeated in SL. I mean bring in a bunch of 3d year players, and really you know look good! That'd be fab. That'd mean a lot.

Not.

Now... if we had 3 rookies to bring in, that would be different. But our smug, self-congratulatory know-it-all GM decided we didn't even need a 2d rookie.

Know-it-all? Sounds like he would fit right in on this message board.

I really don't care about how good the team is. Just mentioned the guys that said they would or might play.

We need to invite Hollis Thompson and Terrell Stoglin to the team.

If Wall plays in the summer league it would likely be for just one or two games. Blatche & Young have done that in the past.

I doubt Seraphin is playing. Isn't he playing on the french national team again this offseason?

Probably, and that's why Tomas doesn't want to come over. He's playing with the Czech national team.

Is there still no list of who is playing outside of the contract guys?
