I'm not all that excited about Derrick Williams. If we can get him for nothing, sure, go for it. But I wouldn't sacrifice any picks or good players (Wall, Beal, Nene or Seraphin) to acquire him.

Just trade Seraphin + Singleton for Cousins. Tank for the rest of the year and hopefully dump Okafor and Ariza. Next year, we roll with Wall, Cousins, Beal, Nene, and a top 3 pick, plus Webster, Crawford, Booker and Vesely.

Just imagine the possibilities. Ted could introduce "Boogie" nights and have old Wizards greats come out and boogie during time outs. Imagine Tyrone Nesby cutting a rug

I'd take a swing on Derrick Williams. It's all about acquiring better assets than the ones we currently have. Giving the Wolves Booker (who they drafted and actually wanted to keep) and another rookie contract (Singleton, Crawford or Vesely) makes sense.

Cousins & Williams may not be the answers to all our prayers but at least they have modicum of NBA talent and skill unlike our current cast of characters.

Yeah, I don't think anyone would give up great value for Derrick Williams but who in their right mind wouldn't dish out Vesely or Booker or even Crawford?

Straight up for Vesely, sure. Singleton, sure. Booker, definitely. Seraphin? No way.

The Wizards are dumb enough to give up this year's lottery pick. They are stupid enough to give away Seraphin straight up for Cousins at a time when Cousins' stock couldn't be lower. Seraphin looked fine until they f'd up the roster. Knowing the Wizards, they will consider each of their young players abject crap.

Cousins has one more season and some issues that make me not want him if Wall isn't 100% good to go.

I would take Cousins for my definition of cheap, preferably Okafor for Cousins and Salmons' wretched deal.

But Cousins was your boy. Hey, Kevin is a nice kid and he still could be a beast one day, but he is to soft for 6-9 275. In a year or two he could be something special but no sure if he will ever have that aggressive approach to the game that we just saw from Monroe who isn't even as athletic.

Cousin is 6-11 270 and rebounds. Sure there is some risk but this seems to be the deal to monitor.

So what do you guys think a Cousins and Nene front court would look like.

You think they would take Nene unprotected 2014 and booker or singleton for Cousins and John Salmons? I say try to offer them Nene because if this plan works out in 2014-15 when it comes time to re-sign Cousins and Wall Nene 13,000,000 salary may get in the way. If we can do that Salmons 14-15 salary is not guranteed so we can get rid of him. and have enough to re-sign Wall and cousins. If we can get that deal we have the potential to be looking at a Wall/Beal/Shabazz/Seraphin/Cousins starting line up. Or Wall/Beal/Webster/Noel or Len/Cousins

I say take the risk who cares. We are flirting with becoming the worst team in NBA history currently lets just roll the dice. Worst case scenario is we lose a pretty good bigman but he is 30 and often injured.

It's the unprotected 2014 pick that I can't condone. As sucky as we are, there is no way in hell we should give up an unprotected pick in either this draft or the next. That pick needs at least top 10 protection this year and top 5 next year.

NO WAY do we give up this draft pick. its not a weak draft, noel could be the real deal and len looks like a beast, both can probably go with D.C. any day of the week. plus if we some how get two top picks look out. if we can steal D.C. on the cheep sure go for it but don't give up a pick for a nut job.

I just feel when we get Wall back get Nene healthier and Beal gaining experience we will play our way out of the wiggins/parker sweepstakes. It comes down to is a guy we can get in the mid-late lottery range going to be better then Cousins and I dont think so. I have always been real high on Cousins. I am willing to take that risk. Hopefully uniting Cousins w/ his close friend Wall and with hopefully a guy w/ the attitude like Shabazz can do wonders for his career and put him in the right direction. Obviously protect it if we can but if Sacremento doesnt want it protected I would still consider pulling the trigger.

Seriously, why would we not try to trade for DMC! This team is definitely headed for the playoffs this year. Just wait until Wall comes back. We'll be the hottest team.

When you are this bad, you take risks. I'd rather swing and miss then do nothing at all.
Microsoft rested on the strength of Windows and now is trying to catch up to Google & Apple.
When Apple was almost bankrupt, they took major risks and they worked.

I know this is is so hypocritical because I didn't like the Nene trade last year because of the risks that he'd be injury prone. That has proven true. The big difference between this and Nene's trade is that DMC's contract will end in 2014. Just like Blatche is turning it around in NY, maybe DMC just needs a change of scenery. Sometimes you just can't repair a relationship.

I would not trade a draft pick for him, but everyone else on the roster would be available.

What sucks is that they won't trade for him because it violates Ted's 10 point plan.

I agree 100%. we do not trade our pick, not for any one. if we can get D.C. and then pair him with len or noel that will put us on our way to contending much faster than giving away our pick for a nut job just because we think john wall can rain him in.

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

I'm still not huge on the idea of acquiring a headcase like Cousins but as long as we don't have to give up Wall, Beal or our 1st (unless its lotto protected) than ya I guess I'd take the chance. As Ive been saying for a long time now Derrick Williams is still my number 1 target. Once again no Wall, Beal or 1st(unless its lotto protected)... but everything else would be available for DWill.

I'm actually against a move for cousins, however, I was against the last move for cousins so what do I know. He's so inefficient on offense and his attitude I'd rotten. its like blatche combined with haynesworth. The only way for this to be successful is if wall was healthy and had leadership skills of rg3. wall is the only player in the nba with potential to reel him in, imo.

With Livingston and Barron off the team, something may happen.

Barron and Livingston were both on deals that would’ve become fully guaranteed next month

Trade Okafor for Cousins n Salmons.

That would be a steal.

The only question is what else they would give regarding picks or players.

Clearly moving Cousins and Salmon is in their best interests. Clearly moving Okafor is in ours.

But they need something that is or leads to a younger players for Cousins. If that one of ours picks or players ?

To bad we don't have Dray to send them instead

All we have available to send them is Kevin, Booker, Ves or C Singleton.

They would most like want Kevin S or Ves or both.

This trade is just bleh. Cousins is a better player than Seraphin will ever be. Seraphin can be trusted to be a professional. I could see why you would or wouldn't do it.

I would probably keep Seraphin but with Wall and Nene here I could see Cousins doing well with the Wizards.

Kings are going to have to make a choice because in a year they're going to be worrying about an extension.

Cousins' scoring efficiency is about equal to Crawford. Considering how big Cousins is that is horrible. No thanks. The last thing this team needs is an inefficient chucker with an attitude problem.

Trade for Cousins, tank for Noel, and hire Calipari in the offseason? We'd be "Kentucky North"!
