BF had the link to the radio interview (take the second link to hear it).....

RADIO HOST: Ersan Ilyasova is a guy, whether they get Josh Smith or they don't get Josh Smith, just doesn't seem to be a fit. Even going back to the Larry Drew press conference, he talked about [John] Henson right off the bat. Mainly because Henson was sitting there, but he was talking about Henson, he talked about Larry Sanders and how both of them have huge upsides and he can't wait to coach them. He did a huge dialogue at the beginning of that press conference about them. He didn't really bring up Ersan until we got into the Q&A portion later. It sounds like [Drew's] buying into the fact that [Henson and Sanders] are the two guys he's going to go with going forward. What do you think the likelihood is that Ersan Ilyasova gets moved on draft night or sometime this summer.

GERY WOELFEL: Well, they'd move him. It's going to be a major move because Ersan's value is definitely pretty high. One of the rumors -- and I repeat, rumor, all capital letters here -- is that Washington might have some interest in Ilyasova and another Bucks player.

RADIO HOST: For No. 3?

GERY WOELFEL: For No. 3.

RADIO HOST: YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! YES! DO IT. SOLD! BYE BYE! SEE YA ERSAN! I'LL DRIVE YOU TO THE AIRPORT! BYE BYE!

GERY WOELFEL: Lending more credence to it is the other day -- I don't know if you saw this -- but John Wall came out and basically, out of nowhere (Editor's Note: It wasn't out of nowhere), said how the Wizards could use a "Stretch 4." (Editor's Note: his actual words were "a 4 man that can pick and pop," which is essentially the same thing. But Wall never said "Stretch 4"). Sounds like Ersan Ilyasova to me.

I dont think this is a pipe dream with Ernie foreign love of euro players. But listen guys I know alot dont like what I say here but I just reviewed Ilyasova and I love the guy! he is basically what we would need at PF a guy who can spread the court and hit his jump shots( even tho yes had a couple rough months ) but before that he was having good games all around and was probably bucs most productive player for the past 4-5 years.
Im just pointing out the positive things if this is real lets just face facts here Ariza is just a defender and nene is a good player when healthy but hes NEVER healthy! . We also can possibly still get a quality player with that 15th pick as well with maybe some bench players from the bucs.

Again just pointing out some positive things out here but i think honestly we shouldn't say just a no just yet .

Okafor is a deal break for me but I guess I'm the only person on this board that thinks that a trade centered around the 3rd for Sova and the 15th is a good move.

He averaged 3 fouls per 36 last year... Calling him a walking foul is a reach considering the "king of verticality" Roy Hibbert, averaged 4.4 fouls per 36.

I'd be upset if that trade was done. EG has done some good trades lately. No reason to F-it-up when we could have Porter or Noel.

I hope we keep the 3rd.

Just win baby!

Empty stats on a bad team. Slow, not athletic, crappy defense. He's the Euro Andray Blatche. Follow the OKC model and build through the DRAFT!!! At this point I'm starting to regret ever getting the 3rd pick, what's the sense when you have to go through the stress of watching an idiot give it away.

Anyone's who agonizing over this should really listen to that interview with Woelfel:

http://media.sportsradio1250.com/a/7594 ... g-show.htm

It sounds a lot like Hank at the bar talking up that brown trout he caught last week.

"No, Pete, I'm tellin's ya', it was THIIIIIS Big! Swurtagawd!"

Sam Amico is also widely considered to be a guy who just puts things out there.

The deal might be decent if it was nene rather than okafor. I still would not be a fan if it meant missing out on porter.

I mean Nene ran center pretty good too before so its not like we will lose like a TON I mean okefor a good player but Iiyasova has yet to even which his peak hes just 26 and has shown games of coming out of no where and rebound 12-18 times and hit 20 points.

I think its a good risk our objective is to be more than a 6th seed and lets be honest okefor and nene are good but not big future pieces.

OK, I didn't realize that PaulPressey25 was the mod on the Bucks board and is generally accepted around there as a guy with sources.

Count me as worried.

PP25 is a stand-up guy, still hoping this is just a bunch of BS that's floating around, but Ernie uses trades to clean-up his mistakes so.....

@StevevonHorn @brewhoop The version I heard was Udoh, Moute, Ersan and #15 for 3 and Okafor, Singelton, Vesely.

Yay or Nay?

Any reason we don't also include Wall and Beal in this? I'm sure there's more trash Milwaukee can unload.

No F'ing way.

Hey, everyone agrees that turning down Harden for the 3rd pick was a dumb move. EG just wants to correct his mistake in not trading the 3rd pick by finding a way to do it this year. Ersan and change is as good as James Harden, right?

And Ersan is our 4 of the future?!? Yes, Nene and Oak are no spring chickens but they only anchored this historically bad team to the 5th best defense in the league. Really people? I can't believe what I'm reading.

The potential Rudy Gay trade had more media attention then this. PP25 has been quite civil on his visits onto the wiz board but I need to hear the Wiz's writers/bloggers take on the validity before I put and real concern this. But until then i will dismiss the trade as an absolute shortsighted blunder that wreaks of classic EG

Keep your eye out for Buckpack on the Bucks forum. If he comes out and says the deal is close, the deal is damn near done. Below is a list of moves that he has forshadowed on the Bucks forum. Knowing what I do about the BUcks forum, I would be very concerned if I were a Wizards fan.
Steve Blake to the Blazers
Spoiler:
Stephen Curry
/Monta for Bogut
Tobias Harris Disaster
Drew Gooden signing
and many more.

Maybe it's just my imagination, but it seems like every year EG is the first to make a deal, like he has some notion that the first to make a deal gets the best deal. Then all the Wizards fans get to watch as subsequent seem to indicate that he could have gotten better value had he been more patient. Or smart. He's like a drunk at an auction.

Well,if the deal goes down, it will be known as the Deal between Dum & Dumber. Can't do worse than Hambone
